Interesting you mention this because I was just thinking this morning that if I went to last night's game, I would have felt cheated as a paying customer.

I used to want to attend a Knicks game (never have. Only seen the Red Storm play Notre Dame some years ago in MSG and a Rangers game) but I have no interest anymore until they play with heart.

I just don't understand how you get embarrassed by Dallas and then come out flat to start the game against Indiana. Within minutes you could tell the Knicks were about to get blown out. I couldn't watch after the first.

It's hard to be a fan and feel so frustrated watching a team with potential not give it their all. I can't deal with it. So I just turn away rather than get boiled up while watching.

Whoa! That sucks.

I've been there though. I had went to one Knicks game every year for about 4-5 years straight and never witnessed a victory. I skipped a year. Then got free tickets last year and saw them finally beat the Nuggets (when Gallo was busting Melo).

But this is rather different because the Knicks have a "respectable" squad and you pay good money to see a good team...pumped up just to be disappointed.

I couldn't even bear to continue watching them at home last night as you know those nights when the Knicks just don't give a F and you know they're going to lose.

I would've been pissed sitting in the Garden last night so I feel your pain.

Who do you guys blame this loss on, the players or the coaching staff?

Obviously the players play and the coaches don't but are the Knicks just getting outcoached?

I think players just have days they don't try. They don't want to give the effort. It's going to happen over the course of the season.

But I think about the Spurs and how one night back in December, I believe, Popovich was furious over a loss and called his team out saying they'll never win 60 games. Then there's Rick Carlisle proclaiming his band of merry men were soft.

What has D'Antoni done? Think about what we hear now from Stoudemire and Carmelo. Each keeps saying: "We need time to jell." D'Antoni is responsible for that rhetoric. He doesn't hold his players responsible. He feeds them excuses and they use them.

If you believe that you shouldn't be great, why would you try to be great? Rather than putting them on the spot, D'Antoni treats every negative passively. "We need to get better on D. It'll happen." "Guys here just need more practice together." "We're still working on some things."

Sounds like Mike. Good coaches inspire talent. Mike inspires complacency.

Hansbrough's last power dunk was ridiculous. I could have driven through that lane.

CMH is 110% on the money. This falls on the coach for not holding players accountable. Popp would have reamed their ***es over that mess Sunday night. With D'Amphony, it's one excuse after another. He even said the Knicks don't need a defensive presence in the middle, they're fine the way they are. What a joke.

I took my old man as his birthday present, if I was there with my boys I would have left mid-3rd quarter. I obviously didn't waste time re-watching the game on my DVR but in person it looked like there was absolutely no effort no the floor - none at all.

I've been to tons of college games there and seen some amazing BET games and Sunday night was the worst atmosphere I've ever seen at the Garden.

Funniest part is that I gave my dad the choice of BET tickets or Knicks tickets and he chose the Knicks because they've been bad for so long and because we didn't think UConn was going to do anything in the tourney this year. Just brutal lol.

I know the Knicks aren't ready for prime time, but I want to see effort. Where's the effort on defense? We saw it against Miami - was that an aberration?

And I'm sick of D'Amdummy's excuses, "we have to do this, we have to do that, we have to get better on defense, blah, blah, blah". JUST DO IT!!!

The Knicks aren't trying. I know they won't be a championship team, but put some effort into it at the very least.

Oh well, they'll make the playoffs interesting because they'll probably show up then. It seems like they are just going through the motions right now.
