I do agree that a team should not give up on defense, and the Knicks are no exception, but you do have to admit they are put at a disadvantage, not only because their size, but also the quality of players they have.

I don't know if you guys are watching this game but when it comes to the 3 tonight .....

Ties Knicks Franchise record with 9 3-point shots. Tying Sprewell and Starks. Knicks overall hit 20 3's setting their franchise record.

I didn't see the Grizzlies game.

I'm not getting excited over TD making shots until he plays the PG position consistently well.

Clearly it's Hibbert. Hansbrough is gonna get his from hustle plays. Hibbert was busting Amare's ***. You have to adjust since it was the same result just 2 days earlier.

I hear what you're saying but you gotta give the man his due tonight. Dude was lights out insane from beyond the arc. He sat on 8 for really the rest of the game, they sat him. Then let him go out to get that 9th , in true PG fashion, he didn't force it. He ran plays and got others scoring, then, when the time was right he took his to get the 9th.

Missed the game because of work, but did get to see Toney hit that 9th three. Good for him. The Knicks look like they shot very well all game.

U can armchair quaterback all u want, but both Pacers players had your number and no matter what defensive schemes u think might work, wouldnt have.
Tyler already was lathered up and Hibbert is inconsistant yet bigger than the entire team.

At that time Tyler is harder to guard due to his boost in confidence. Hibbert can be shaken out of his game, but there is no one on the roster to pressure him for 48 mins.

Hans was scoring off of jumpshots.

I don't know how you can make claims if didn't watch the game. He was going off like a man possessed and Hibbs was beasting one on one vs. Stat. Double would come over and Hans hits the open look.

Damn. Give the Pacers credit. They played well. Nothing more.

Ahh, New York media trying to create controversy. I'd bet someone asked about the defense and Anthony simply said it needs to be simplified. Comes in beat writer who wonders if Anthony hates D'Antoni and wants his fired. It's hilarious. But I guess the Tabloid papers need back page material since it's Spring Training and St. John's was eliminated.

The thing is, I think Anthony is right. Now I'm not saying the Knicks run complicated schemes. I doubt it. But whatever they run is confusing the heck out of them because guys don't know who to cover, don't know when to switch or to double, help or stay away. They are being taught something because they all make the same mistakes. Even our messiah on defense looks confused out there.

So maybe Anthony just thinks they need to stop being taught this nonsense and just play hard. Simple.

I think it takes more than a dozen games for a team to "get" both the defensive and offensive schemes laid out.

They were still figuring things out on a whole before the Melo trade, and now even more adjustments have to made w/ a totally new roster.

How fast do fans expect the GEL process to take?
I dont understand the whole Veruca Salt " I want it now" attitude from SOME New York fans.

Miami is STILL figuring things out w/ out any real major roster changes, unless u wanna say Bibby's situation is major.
