I'm still angry bout last night. Why STAT doesn't touch the ball again after dunking on KG & JO is beyond me.

As much as I love the guy in my Sig, he & everyone else needs to know STAT was unstoppable in the 4th.

Hopefully we play with the intensity in game 2.

Any word on Chauncey?

I called so many plays in that game, including the TD 3. I was hoping to be wrong on the last play though. Once Melo had the ball I knew it wasn't going back out. I can't recall a time I've ever seen Melo pass the ball off to an open teammate in the final seconds.

Once the ball goes in, it doesn't ever come back out. Sad but true.

It's a problem. I was hoping that maybe they were just trying to rest Stoudemire. Probably trying to get the offense together during the season when they ignored him during stretches.

That's not the case. The Knicks just simply ignore Stoudemire and it's a Billups-Anthony thing.

Billups looks for Anthony and only Anthony on offense. Whenever he does feed Stoudemire, it's nearly 20 feet away from the basket where Stoudemire has to create. Now, I think STAT is one of the best finishers in the league, but you're asking for trouble when you want him to create 20 feet from the basket.

And whenever Stoudemire does cut to the basket as Billups drives, Billups completely ignores him. Completely. He rather take an awful shot or pass off to a shooter on the baseline.

It's a problem and it's not going to be resolved before this series ends.

Telling you, STAT needs to Teen Wolf this series or it's over.

The thing that kills me is STAT pretty much has a cheese jumper. If this was NBA 2K11 we'd be calling his jumper cheese, the joint never misses. That last shot is MANDATED his. F' Melo unless he's open on a play but if the team is D'ing up well give it to STAT in his spot, point blank no discussion. And F' U' Danphony!!! I'm really hating seeing him rag on Douglas all the time for every little thing. You could CLEARLY see Douglas had NO CONFIDENCE in those 11 seconds when he comes down the court looking to give the ball to ANYBODY because he didn't want to F' up and have the coach rag him out as usual. If he had some confidence he would have tried to run something not just dump off to Melo and let him try to play one on one.

At this point I'll take Thomas back as a coach (provided he gets to make NO decisions on anything but what happens on the court, I don't even want Isaiah to have an opinion on what color toilet paper they have in the garden)

I was too disappointed to watch after the shot missed but I'm glad to hear that both Melo and STAT were upset.

Same here. I turned off my TV. Didn't want to see the Cs celebrate. So I'm glad to know our guys had fire in their eyes. I'm pretty sure STAT called guys out by name in practice today.

Either way, I'll agree with most points here.

It's easy to play armchair quarterback:
-Why was Jeffries guarding Rondo
-Where was Shelden Williams (rebounding)
-The refs
-Etc

Point is, D'Antoni failed them. He had them in a position to win and just folded his arms pretty much.

You've heard his philosophy during the season- late game, just get Melo the ball and get out of his way.

That's a man who does not know how to make adjustments even with his team's season on the line.

Scary.

I look forward to Game 2...but the Knicks gotta punch them in the mouth early. If Boston's up by like 15 before the half...forget about this.

Knicks showed heart with Amare out. Wish Ronny was in for Jeffries late in the game. Need someone that is somewhat of an offensive threat at that point in the game. Easy for KG to defend when he doesn't have to worry about his man shooting. Another tough loss.

What on Earth was that final play? Seriously? How do you not have everyone face-guarding and denying the ball on the inbounds. Instead we just let Boston in bound the ball with zero pressure and run out the clock LMAO.

An amazing effort by Melo tonight and the rest of the crew. Showed a lot of heart. Melo, just an all-time effort tonight.

42, 17 & 6 and two blocks against the best defensive team in the NBA...not bad for a player who "only does one thing well".

Say what you want he wasn't driving in like an "OPEN FOR BUSINESS" sign was at the rim like before.

I give Jeffries his props. Dude works hard, very hard. Jeffries being that situation at the end is all on the coach. He should have had Williams or Turiaf in that play. I'm really putting a bunch of this on the coach shoulders.

In any case this loss hurt as much if not more than the first one.

I have a friend , near 60 now if not older, who recalls when he was a child his uncle betting him on a baseball game, a World Series game to be exact. His nickel to his uncle's dollar or 5 dollar, can't remember. When the game was over my friend was happy and went in the next room to get his money. He was paid of course but his uncle was in tears. As a child he couldn't understand cause he knew his uncle could afford it. It wasn't later in life he understood what his uncle felt.

Now I'm not saying I'm in tears, but I can understand. Sometimes that ish hurts man. Especially when you KNOW you have the game in hand, or at least think it.

Great effort, but there's no time for moral victories in the playoffs.

The non foul on delonte made no sense, but realistically probably didn't matter with no time outs.

With no Amare and no Chauncey, I'm fine with the call for the last play. Got the ball to Jeffries in positon for a layup or a foul, and he passed it off. Would have rather had Turiaf in that spot, but who knows he may have done the same thing. It's just a tough spot, celtics werne't gonna let Melo beat them, and no one was particularly hot from outside.

Heartbreaking, but I am proud. If Amare doesn't get healthy, we'll get swept. But if he's good to go, who knows that will be a big lift, crowd should be a big lift, maybe we can get back in this thing.

More importantly if you're the coach and you see what's going down and don't want that player to collect a 3rd foul why not take him out and put someone else on him. You know, maybe like the guy YOU JUST PICKED UP FOR HIS ABILITY TO DEFEND ANYONE. Even Carter would have done alright. He's pesky.

Guys right now it's coming down to the brainpower in the suits out smarting each other.

Yup, can't let Rondo get uncontested layup after uncontested layup. Either Douglas has to risk another foul, or you need to put someone else out there. Foul trouble is no excuse.
