But for real though I agree. He does get a lot of open looks but he seems to lack good ball control when he puts it on the floor. He gets stripped, loses it, travels/carries too often. And he seems to have struggled finishing at the basket this season too.

I like Shumpert, but truthfully speaking, when has Shumpert ever impressed anyone at the rim?

When I saw his name mentioned for the Dunk Contest over a week ago, I did a double-take. Him?

Anyway, not taking anything away from him. I like his aggression and I think he'll grow to be a better than Wilson Chandler type for this team. He'll learn to finish strong and hit that outside shot with better consistency. I remember when we all wanted Chandler to stop spinning in the paint. But he grew up and really hit that next level. Shumpert has the talent.

Good game. 3rd Qtr nearly made me lose my voice in frustration, but it's a love-hate thing with this team. I've been so frustrated with them all these years, it's nice to have something to root for in the 4th.

Lin shut up a lot of people with his performance against the Mavs. They threw everything at him. Marion, double teams, traps, big men in the paint. He still found a way to get people involved and win the game.

I find it interesting that the Knicks got things rolling when Lin was aggressive (and making some turnovers). Just can't take that aggressiveness away. Gotta take the good with the bad. Right now the good is wins. The bad is turnovers. I'll take the wins.

Hopefully Baron is ready to go tomorrow, going to need to spell Lin a bit tomorrow after 45 minutes today.

Great game today. One of the better defensive teams in the league threw everything they had at Lin today and they couldn't stop him. And once Melo comes back teams aren't going to be able to do that, or if they do Melo is going to get some huge mismatches.

Well he's had a few pretty nasty oops this year back when our offense had set plays. And he's had a few moments where he tried to dunk on folks but lost the ball. But over the summer...

I was kinda surprised he was invited to be honest, but I'm not complaining. I wonder how much it had to do with getting Jeremy Lin in some ASW event though.

Finally Pringles shows some guts, playing both JR & Novak in the 4th while they were hot, while benching Shump & Landry.

Great coaching decision on his part. Now if Baron can get some PT & be effective. Lookout

Yeah, D'Antoni is gonna have to find a way to get guys minutes.

I can see Stoudemire, Chandler and Fields resting. But unless Davis can really spell Lin for 15 min a game, he's gonna need to find playing time for 7 other guys in 3 spots.

There's no way Novak hits the bench even with Melo, Davis and Walker coming back. Well, there's a way but it'd be dumb.

That's one thing I've been tossing around in my head....the rotation. Walker is done, Novak & Smith have to get burn, Shump will also get some burn but what about when Josh gets back? I mean he has to play too in my eyes. Does Pringles go 9 or maybe even 10 deep?

Novak took Josh's spot, IMO. Shump might lose some playing time when Baron comes back, but only if he can effectively hold it down while Lin rests.

I agree. I think Novak definitely took Jort's spot. But, I wouldn't put it past D'Antoni to see if that is indeed the case. For as long as I've seen D'Antoni coach, I can't recall a time he's had a player lose playing time because they were hurt previously. If D'Antoni likes you, he will find time for you.

Also, I'm almost sure Harrellson is a better rebounder than Novak. But, I'm only guessing based on size.

Still, even with that figured out, the rotation has to be deeper because when Jorts was playing you didn't have JR Smith. Lin effectively took Douglas's spot. Jeffries isn't sitting. D'Antoni loves him and for all the crap I give Jeffries, he's handling himself well with Lin at point so I'm okay with it.

I see a starting lineup of Chandler, Stoudemire, Anthony, Fields and Lin.

Their backups will likely be Jeffries, Novak, JR Smith, Shumpert and Davis (eventually).

I can't see those five sitting. And that's still not including Walker and Harrellson.

Yeah, D'Antoni has a good problem on his hands. In short, guys should be fresh now because quite honestly, I'd run with that bench five against some of the bad teams in the league and feel confident.

Novak hasn't taken Jorts spot because Jorts can defend 2 positions and rebound.

Walker (thankfully) is the odd man out. And barring his health, Shump will lose minutes to Davis.

D'Antoni's going to limit Amare's minutes and he'll do that with Jeffries and Jorts.
