    He just doesn't get it.

Completely rubbed me the wrong way.

I don't see the big deal at all, outside of with his attire.

Hell, Oakley and Ewing are two of MJ's best friends and were during their playing days. Perfect example of how social media and the Internet era has affected pro athletes negatively. People need to layoff Amare IMO.

Is STAT friends with LeBron? To me it just looks like a Florida native attending a basketball game.

And the picture tries to make it clever with the box of popcorn "Let's go Heat!"

I mean, it's not like he has a choice there.

Re attire. Dude looks like a bounty hunter. I didn't know how country Stoudemire was.

People can feel how they want to about it. Has nothing to do with social media. Passionate fans tend to be crazy All I said was it rubs me the wrong way.

Melo says he can't even stomach to watch the playoffs. Amare is front and center like he had nothing better to do.

I can't picture Larry Bird back in his day sitting courtside at a 76ers playoff game after they knocked out the C's.

Can't see Isaiah Thomas (sorry) sitting courtside in Boston after the C's knocked off the Pistons.

          That's all I'm saying...

I hear you on that about back in the day but things have changed obviously.

I have a feeling Melo never watches basketball because he doesn't want to, not because he can't stomach it. Sorry Melo but I'm not buying that one for a second.

I can't thank Jeffrey Kessler and @TheNBPA enough for all the work they have put into this Birds Rights case. A decision in about 2 weeks.

                  Yes.

Regardless of the decision (looks like the NBA will win), it shouldn't affect at all what the Knicks do in the draft as far as what position(s) they go after.

We know the need areas already.

                    Huh?

The NBA was fighting against Bird Rights.

Which is it? Did the Arbiter hold the players to the letter of the rules (NBA wins; no Bird Rights) or did he favor the union's appeal (bird rights)?

No. There has been no ruling yet.

But everything I have read says that the NBA should win out and the Knicks won't be able to hold onto their Bird Rights.

It'll affect how we go about Free Agency for sure.

This really is about the Knicks having extra money. To spend on potential FA's

5M (MLE) or 3M (TPE) Tax Payer Exception

Right now we have Lin's Rights as he is a RFA. Novak on the other hand is a FA

Word is no matter what both will be back. Lin using the MLE (5M) & Novak using a Bi-Annual Exception (1.9M)

The big question is Fields. We have his rights, but can lose him I'd a team offers a contract the knicks won't/can't match due to CAP Space.

The next 2 weeks can't get here fast enough

But it's bigger than that because if they receive their birds rights than the Knicks can use the mid-level on another player and still keep Lin and Novak.

I don't care about holding onto both. That's likely to happen. I care about wooing another just below impact free agent.

That I understand. But it get's a little deeper than that. In the New CBA there's something called the Apron. The Apron is $74 Mil. Once you get close, you have to be very careful, because the Apron can restrict teams from making trades & thinks of that nature once you go over.

The New CBA is very complicated. I just hope Grunwald & his staff don't fudge this-up because right now were about 58-59 million in guaranteed contracts for next year.

Picking up Toney Douglas' option was idiotic.

Arguably the worst decision Grunwald made last year.
