Stephen A Smith going off, hes right, everyone keeps saying its Melo but thats completely false. He has been playing team ball, the problem is the entire team is playing like crap and Lin has been exposed. Lin cant handle a trap, he cant go left, and if he does take it to the hole they collapse on him he doesnt know what to do so he turns it over. They also beat him up in the paint. Dantoni makes no adjustments, just stands around with that dumb look on his face. He cant coach D for nothing should call him antoni. People try to point to the win/loss when Melo was hurt compared to now but they forget during that stretch the Knicks were playing sub .500 teams who never seen Lin before.

I wonder how pissed off Amare is with Melo right now.

Let's be real. Amare's been quiet since Melo came here last year.

Before Melo...Amare was a leader. He called his teammates out. Knowing those guys were young and inexperienced...he was a vocal leader.

When Melo came...he took a step to the side.

Now the coach that Amare thrived under is gone and Woodson is an Isolation coach.

Amare's gotta be livid right now. Not necessarily with D'Antoni gone. But everything...Melo getting his way, Melo not buying in and Melo not being a leader that the rest of the team can ride with.

And Landry Fields. If Woodson goes the Iso route...might as well trade Fields while he has an ounce of trade value left. Because he's gonna fold if Melo keeps getting the ball.

Stephen A said Phil Jackson WANTS to coach the Knicks next season and its all up to Knicks management. Mike Woodson has 24 games and perhaps a playoff run to do something special and prove he can run this team. Phil would get this thing turned around with the current roster.

Which is exactly why Lin isn't the problem. Melo has been part of the problem but pretty much everyone besides Chandler has been part of the problem this year. Melo's effort, body language and lack of leadership is a major issue. This year, all of a sudden, he's a terrible finisher.

I think Amare's quietness on the leadership front is more due to Chandler being a great leader than Melo's presence.

These next few games will be interesting to see if Melo has a pep in his step that we haven't seen this year.

Do yourself a favor and stop listening so hard to Stephen A.

He's a blowhard with an agenda towards NY teams.

Phil Jackson is about to have knee surgery and has no plans of coaching.

They are horrible. I'm throwing a party.
From where they were, yes. He had the team playing really well last year before Melo joined. They were energetic, young, played hard. Exciting times at the Garden for the first time in a decade.

They are horrible but I lay the bulk of the blame on Carmelo. Sure, A'mare has been much worse this season but Anthony has just been awful for his entire time here. 25-42 with him in the lineup. Not a coincidence that they played better before he got here and when he was out hurt. Then this mopey sh*t when they don't get him the ball. He's getting dangerously close to Starbury territory. Puts up numbers but makes everyone else play worse.

Stephen A Smith reported the big 3 to Miami while ESPN and Chris Broussard were still saying the Bulls were the favorite to land LBJ. Stephen A is credible.

hes part of the problem, hes playing like crap along with most of the team. Besides Novak, Chandler, and Shump everyone else has looked bad lately. Lin looks lost out there, and its not because of Melo.

                          Broussard said Miami.

Doesn't matter. They're both part of the same problem at E$PN.

Stephen A. has an agenda. Face it.

Lakers and Mavs weren't sub .500

Besides, now they are getting torched. Instead of beating teams like Dallas and LA they are getting destroyed and showing no fight, no heart.

I agree with all of this, although I think I lay more of the blame on Melo than you.

So I haven't watched any college hoops this year. Who are the players I should keep an eye on in the tourney now that it looks like we're lottery bound?
