Re: The 2012 New York Knicks: The Filler Year?
Roy Williams on Felton
“He took less money to go to New York, he could’ve gotten more money somewhere else,” Williams said. “He wants to be in New York. He is motivated. The people in New York should remember how good he was for half a year because he played his buns off. He played his buns off.”
Williams said Felton was at North Carolina recently and was in good shape.
“Raymond Felton will be in shape,” Williams said. “He’ll be fired up. He is fired up right now. He looks great.”
He added: “I asked him six weeks ago, ‘If a team says you need to lose 15 pounds, what are you going to tell them?’ He says, ‘I’ve already lost 10 and I’ll lose 10 more.’ He’s going to be motivated.”
During his 54-game stint with the Knicks in 2010-11, he averaged 17.1 points and 9.0 assists, but in 60 games in Portland last year, an out-of-shape Felton averaged 11. 4 points and 6.5 assists.
“[Portland] was a bad situation and it’s the only bad situation Raymond Felton’s ever been in,” Williams said. “Things didn’t work out. That happens in the NBA. You see some guys go one place and be in the doghouse or not play, you see them go another place and they play great.
“Raymond Felton’s going to be the least of any problem the New York Knicks is ever going to have.”

One thing I remember about Raymond Felton is busting his *** for the team while nursing a bad back.
I've always supported having him play in orange and blue. I can't wait to see him play in MSG for us again.
I grew to love his tenacity in those 50 games. And I still think he made Stoudemire play hard too.
Lin made watching the Knicks fun. I won't take that away from him. But that was after Felton and Stoudemire made them fun two years ago. Lest we forget how those two rocked the Garden together.

Why is Jeremy Lin still answering questions about the Knicks?
This guy is like the Facebook friend that keeps posting status updates to make up with others because too many disagreed with a picture he put up.
Let it rest. You're with Houston. I don't care why you signed the contract.

Because he's mad as hell he isn't still a Knick.
I like the Brewer signing, more defense and a glue guy. I'll say it again but our defense will be very, very good next year."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Really liking what the Knicks have up front with defense and rebounding and in the backcourt with defense and size.
This team is 12 deep. Some real good depth. Woodson might not mind giving everyone playing time.

Love the Brewer signing. Didn't think we could get him as how he was scheduled to make $4M this year.
I'm super happy. I love picking up defensive guys.
I really think we can compete with Boston.

Im so excited to see what the defense can look like with Camby on the second team. That has me giddy to know that when Tyson sits I dont have to change the channel.Comment

Re: The 2012 New York Knicks: The Filler Year?
Looks like we are definitely getting new unis. Supposedly we've FINALLY gotten rid of all black in our uniforms, thankfully. Been a pain to endure that ugliness for 17 years.
This is supposedly our new logo as well. Mix of old school and new school.

I'll patiently wait to see how these turn out.
Good to see the black gone. Hopefully they can get rid of the stripes underneath the arms & side of the shorts as well.Comment

The Knicks: the only organization that could keep merchandise sales on hold by keeping such a thing secret.

LOL. The Nets and Hornets are the only other two teams that haven't revealed their new primary uniforms yet for next season. So we aren't quite alone on this front."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
