All i've heard from Tim Leiweke I like so far!

Why wouldn't players want to play in Toronto?!

Leiweke is the perfect guy for this role, I'm so pumped for this.

I would love Phil replacing Colangelo, he's one of the greatest basketball minds in history.

I'm really hoping we make up for a really stupid mistake we made and go for Marco Bellineli again.

Just a suggestion there, but what do people think if that's being considered. Should Raptors attempt to get Gasol? I believe it's the highest bid would get him if Lakers use amnesty. I'd rather Gasol over Bargnani, and if we get Gasol, we could amnesty Bargnani.

They're not amnestying him and Amir was our best player this past year. The Amir-Gasol upgrade really isn't worth all the money Gasol's gonna command, or the package it'd take to get him. I'd rather move Bargnani for a pick and bench piece and just roll with Amir at PF.

Lowry/DD/Gay/Amir/JV was one of the best 5 man units in the league this past year, let's not break it up.

            Re: Toronto Raptors

Not sure if mentioned before, but Gay is getting work done on his eyes to help his vision. I think he was supposed to wear goggles or something(with contacts or something as well?) but he didn't want to, so his vision wasn't the best during games.

Hopefully that explains his shooting percentage. Cause rest of his game seems fine, but depth perception and stuff obviously would be abit messed with bad vision.

And said in above post, the starting 5 we had is a good one, but I'm just thinking in the mindset of if Raptors are able to do the best case scenario this offseason and have 20M in free space. It's just crazy how much possibilities are available to them this off season and sucks to think how most(if not all) won't happen.

If we're not gonna have a top 5 player we should be shoring up our bench, and 20M budget for shoring up a bench could be SWEET.

Do the Raptors even have a pick this draft? AA sign/trade + Bargnani for a late first and take a guy like McAdoo or Kabongo would be awesome. Seriously, just get those two off our team.

Don't see point in sign and trade with AA.

Would be cool to trade Bargnani,Fields for some extremely overpriced player(then use amnesty on him) along with a draft pick(if there are any teams out there who have a real high/overpriced player and don't have amnesty anymore, and would rather have Bargnani,Fields on their team than that other guy who doesn't do anything for them. Who knows, there might be a team out there with a guy who has 15M+ contract for multiple years who does less for them, than Bargnani/Fields would)

Kind of like this year's Eddy Curry.

Someone at Raptors HQ suggested Emeka Okafor for that purpose and I really agree with it.

Maybe to the Warriors for Biedrins and a first? That'd be AWESOME.

Biedrins has player option, so doubt Warriors could do that.

What about Bogut though? Will have 14M deal next year, so maybe Warriors could deal him instead? A guy who hasn't even played more than half a season since 10-11, they'll be paying 14M for...Just give him to us, we trade Bargnani(and if they're willing to...Fields as well) for him and a pick and then buy him out!

Warriors only got 2nd pick in 2014(2013 1st/2nd and 2014 1st are gone), so maybe Fields would then be included if all we're getting is 2nd back.

Okafor would also be good for same purpose. Washington could give us 37th pick in this years draft.

I saw Bogut but he's still somewhat useful, no? But I wouldn't do that if they don't have picks.

I like the Okafor idea because it's a really deep draft.

                        Re: Toronto Raptors

Turns out NBA put a rule in to prevent this(since they knew something like this might happen).

So I guess we got no choice but to use amnesty on Bargnani(if we don't use it on him,we're basically wasting a chance to get rid of a huge contract and have nothing count against our salary)

Not really that interested in NBA playoffs, so just created another list of guys I want Raptors to target in offseason.

I'm not including anyone who has some sort of option

                            C/PF
                            Dalembert
                            Pachulia
                            Aldrich
                            Blatche

                            SF/SG
                            Dunleavy
                            R.Brewer
                            Korver
                            Elliot Williams

                            PG:
                            Gibson
                            Bynum
                            Calderon

So 4 from that list(2 from the first list, 1 from the 2nd list, and another from either 2nd or 3rd list).

                            I'd take Aldrich,Dalembert in 1st list.
                            Dunleavy in 2nd list
                            Bynum in 3rd list

                            C-JV/Dalembert
                            PF-Johnson/Acy/Aldrich
                            SF-Gay/Dunleavy
                            SG-DeRozan/Ross
                            PG-Lowry/Bynum/Telfair

Telfair could then be dealt for some 3rd string SG/PG. Or even if he isn't, that lineup already looks like one that could finish above .500
