One thing I like about Noah is that a lot of the things he does are especially valuable to our team. Passing, defense, rebounding. He's never been a scorer, but I'm not sure what happened to him last year where he shot 38% and 49% from the line, hopefully being healthy will bring those percentages up a bit. Obviously his intangibles are great, and he's going to be pissed off even more ready to show the world what he can do again, and in his hometown. I'm putting my trust in Phil.

We also won't need his scoring too much with kp, Anthony, and rose

Knicks extended a qualifying offer to Galloway, but not to Early. My New York State math skills say the team will have about 36 million in cap room.

Edit: That's without taking into consideration Willy's contract.

My biggest fear is when Phil leaves, it's back to Knick business as usual. You know Dolan will hire one of his flunkies.

I just have to accept the fact that the Knicks will always be a joke.....at least I still have my football Giants. Their ownership gets it.
            I feel it has changed.

This team isn't hampered by bad contracts and no future picks. That's all Phil can do at the moment.

I understand wanting immediate change but that's not possible if Melo won't accept a trade.

You might wonder why even sign Melo. But how often has NYK landed a legitimate All Star scorer? Feelings aside, Melo is the best player on the team and you don't let that walk away to rebuild with no picks.

If Melo helps bring a player or two over then it's a win. If he doesn't, it's a wash as the team was going to lose and have few picks to rebuild with anyway.

This is the only positive direction. It sucks but Phil was handed this. He's doing well.

One thing I will say with Melo is that he loves being a knick and he really wants to win for us. I honestly felt that last year he had one of his best all around seasons of his career. It also seems like him and KP get a long really well. You never know. With Kp getting stronger he shouldn't break down towards the end of the season. If we can get 60 to 70 games out of rose and Noah than that all will be a plus. We might be able to get into the playoffs

Another thing. Still have to realize that the season before last we only won 17. This year was 32 I think. That still is progress.

I'm excited to see another year of Porzingis and how he progresses for sure.

And if the Knicks aren't any good, they have their 2017 first round pick.

The team has that pick with or without Melo.

But if Phil Jackson isn't president, do the Knicks have that pick? Considering past history, I would guess no.

He has everything mentally to make a solid leap next season. He's gotta be one of the most motivated players in the league, and I feel like he's going to raise some eyebrows...again.

If this is legit, I don't think it's a bad deal at all. 3 year, 48 million, with the third year only partially guaranteed.

I think I've already seen 4 different reports of the contract offer since yesterday. I'll just wait for the real details, it looks like Noah's a Knick though. Happy to have him but not for 4 years. Not like this. Im about to have to change my avi after less than 24 hours if this **** comes through. Now Eric Gordon rumors. It's gonna be a long day.

So which 2 guard do we want? Gordon, Lee, Rivers, or Turner? As in that I who espn says we have interest in.

I'd like Lee, I see we're talking to Austin as our backup PG. Evan Turner can't start for us because he can't shoot so he doesn't really fit.

Eric Gordon can shoot really well but can't play defense like Courney Lee. He's got much higher offensive upside, but he's also hurt a lot. Lee is my top choice but if we get Eric Gordon, we're basically in a position where 3/5 of our starting lineup are really prone to injury, then there's Melo and 2nd year Porzingis. We're gonna either be a top 8 team or get a top 8 pick lol.

That was my worry with Gordon. I feel like he was on the Pelicans for like 3 years but only played 1 of them. Turner definitely would be good for the bench but I know he is looking to start. Definitely need a shooter to compliment the penetration of Rose and post ups of Melo. I definitely see the upside with the defense with Lee and durability
