DRose and EG were AAU teammates at one point IIRC.

The only benefit imo to having EG (besides knockdown shooting) would be securing him on a short deal, maybe a one year with an option on the second year which would be a low risk investment and still give us cap space next season. Not sure if any teams will be offering him a long term deal.

We'll need to really build the bench up, though. Can't have bums like Sasha Vujacic playing heavy minutes.

Not sure why you would go for Gordon when he's just a better version of Galloway- an undersized SG who lacks defense.

We need a defensive wing and a bruiser down low.

I can't stand Evan Turner. The guy is just a jerk.

I've warmed up to Austin Rivers. Hornacek might do wonders for him.

I don't want Courtney Lee for some reason even though he gives us what we need.

Dude, I gave up on the Knicks long ago. I've accepted the fact they will always be a joke.

Actually, I feel for you young guys....at least I saw success with the two championships, lol.

I agree with everything except I like Courtney Lee. Scrappy D and can shoot.
I just don't want anything to do with E. Gordon. We need size at the 2 unless you want to overpay for a backup pg.

I know it's a lot of years and a lot of money for him, but I'm happy we have Joakim. We've got our high intensity enforcer guy in him now, we just need him to stay healthy.

I hate the years. And I'm never going to tell anyone they shouldn't be upset when it comes to Noah's contract or as Jeff has said, if there's concern about cycling through old practices.

I LOVE having Noah. I think he brings more to the position than Rolo did. But the damn years. Those damn years.

I just can't for the life of me understand what leverage this dude had to get 4 years out of us. 2 and a team option and I would've been fine. But 4 years? Who were the other bids? I read a report that they were rewarding him for not going to other teams and using them as leverage, that better not be true man.

But he's one of us now. Just hope he stays healthy because if he does, he's a great fit for us. If some of his skillset can rub off on Porzingis he's almost worth the contract by itself lol. Just need Phil to get us a 2, I still want Courtney Lee but we may have just killed too much cap space.

Re: The 2016 New York Knicks: Now that we're done tanking...

What difference does it make if it's 4 years?

Did we not trade away Chandler, Felton (PO), JR (PO) Shump, Hardaway, Calderon, Rolo, Grant, etc. under Phil?

Did we not convince Afflalo and Williams that their Player Options were meaningless?

I'm not wasting my time counting pennies or years when our worse contracts have all been moved. And when have we given up a 1st rounder under Phil? In fact, we've acquired a 1st round pick (Grant) and stashed a player who would've been a 1st rounder this year (Hernangonez).

I don't like having so many injury-prone players.

But would I rather have an injured Rose or a healthy Calderon?
An injured Noah or a mediocre Lopez?

It is what it is. I want to make the playoffs. And I'd rather have players who bleed for the uniform than just show up.

If Rose and Noah dog it...trust me you'll hear from me first.

Noah wasn't really linked to anybody else, but with the money and years being thrown out around the league, I'm guessing he did have some leverage.
