Why not look good on the court as well?Los Angeles Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram does just that as he hit the courts in Long Beach dressed in a slick outfit for a GQ Magazine shoot.

"The way I put it is imagine going to work, imagine going to your cubicle and it's just a toxic work environment. There are guys around you that you don't necessarily see eye-to-eye with. Your boss is kind of demanding, it's just a drag going to work every day,” said Nance, Jr., describing an undesirable work environment. “Less gets done, you aren't as productive, there's kind of a bad attitude around.

“Then you go to an environment where the boss is flexible, you've got guys around you that you can talk and mess around with, you go to dinner after work and stuff like that, and it's makes time fly. It makes you really not dread going to work as much,” Nance, Jr. continued. “Granted it's a little different because we're in the NBA, but at least this summer I've really enjoyed going to the gym and seeing the faces and people that are with us now. That's kind of the culture change that's going on.”
Larry Nance on the difference of athmosphere between last season and this one.

Despite praising rookie forward Brandon Ingram for his playmaking and versatility, Walton said “we’re not going to throw him into the starting lineup right away” out of concern how he handles a grueling 82-game schedule.
Fine by me. I much rather him play from the bench to start the year and have his minutes and matchups managed rather than start him right away and bench him when he hits the wall 30 games in.

“Last off-season was Looney Tunes,” Russell said Tuesday. “Wasn’t real. I didn’t get nothing out of it.”
“I feel like if I came into the league this year, in this environment, it wouldn’t have been as tough,” Russell said. “Even if Kobe was here, it still wouldn’t have been as tough. …
“The coaching staff, the whole atmosphere that this coaching staff brings is different. I’m not saying better, I’m not downgrading the last coaching staff. I’m just saying the atmosphere they bring every day is a winning mentality.”

“Everything I went through was new, and there was no guidance from the people that were supposed to give me the guidance,”
          Russell said.

Man I'm so excited for this season just because it will be something new & different. I don't even care we're not contending and will more than likely miss the playoffs.

For the first time in a long time we have young talent that we are excited about.

I'am with you man. I think we'll have a pretty brutal record though.

I'm worried that they're going to try give Young another chance and that it is going to cause some problems before they realize their mistake.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Yeah I think Young is staying. They don't want to absorb his contract and they probably can't trade him.

Nance, Clarkson and Black the 3 best players of that first pre season game. Disapointing game from Russell and Randle.

Mozgov, Zubac and Ingram postgame/skyhook/shooting practice.

It's early but the more I watch Nance and Randle, the more I see more from Nance. Julius is stronger but Nance is more athletic, better defensively and a much better shooter.

Randle is a walking double double so he's ahead now but if he has to develop something other than put his head down and drive recklessly.

Yeah I woudn't be surprised if Nance end up starting. Nance, Clarkson and Zubac are such great, great picks. Props to the lakers scouts.

                              Man I can't stand Lou Williams's game.

So refreshing to hear Luke's post game conference. It's about actual basketball.

Much much better game from JR and Russell tonight.
