Re: The Official ***Phoenix Suns*** Thread

Well, we beat the Rockets for another win on Wednesday, we need some more national TV games, I need my Suns fix!

Anyways, Saturday the boys come here to LA to play the Clippers, and I'm going! Sixth row, on the baseline, fellas. It's gonna be incredible. Me and my bro (also a Suns fan) are going. Cant wait to cheer on the team in person. It should be an exciting game to watch. I'll toss up my impressions when I get back, hopefully.

Well, boys....I just got back from the game, and it was a fun one! Exactly what I expected from us tonight, a double digit win. Our seats were incredible. Unfortunately I dont have a digital camera anymore so I couldnt take pics.

One thing that worried me tonight was Amare's seemingly tentative nature. He seemed VERY hesitant to bang like he always does. I saw him settle for so many jumpers and little hook shots and didnt see his power like we normally see. Is it the criticism of him not having an outside game or what? He had a nice dunk over Elton which made me get out of my seat.

Quentin is shooting too many 3's. Yes he was against his old team (got a LOT of boos) and yes he was on fire in the first couple quarters, but he's shooting too many of them. A lot of the times he just threw it up there, which scares me. Let him shoot em as long as he makes them. I dont want him to think he's invincible out there.

Joe Johnson was on fire. He had an excellent game. Seemingly everything he shot out there went in. I was pleasantly surprised.

Nash had a run and gun game too, as usual. The guy is just so active out there, its a treat to see him live speeding up and down and around the court. He had this incredible play where he broke someones (forgot who) ankles. Just another Nash night, although low on the point total.

I also thought Barbosa was out, thats what I read, but he did play. He's progressing quite nicely as a player. One thing thats weird is our rotation. Jake Voskuhl didnt get in until pretty much garbage time. I dont know if its b/c he just got off the IL or what, but I expected him to play a little more.

Same with Lampe. I'm very upset he came in with 1:50 left. In order to progress as a player, we NEED to get this guy more minutes. We need his help out there, to give the 3 through 5 a rest now and then.

Anyways, it was a great experience and we definitely do need to fine tune some things. Cant wait till the next opportunity I get, it could very well be the game against the Lakers on 4/11.

wow we just beat the pacers by about 40. We were so good at rebounding today, and we kept jermaine o'neal contained for a long period of time. We also outrebounded them by about 25 which is really good. Good game for the suns, and its a good thing we won big, so we were able to rest our players. Hopefully we still have some fuel in the tank during the playoffs because after our starting 5, nobody on this team scares me, and Matrix you are right, Q. Rich takes too many 3's. He should post up a bit more, which is his strength, and develop a pull up J.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Yeah that was a great game. We rebounded good for once!! Usually I'm yelling at the TV because they always allow like 20 offensive rebounds.

i hope we are able to resign joe johnson this offseason, because he is a good rebounder for his size, is not selfish, and has a pretty good jump shot

The Heat have been disposed of. I missed the last few poundings they've dished out but it seems like they once again dominated.

Oh, yeah....I have to admit....Joe Johnson has been a very pleasant surprise. He was so inconsistent when he got here but I guess it was just a matter of getting used to the league and our team. I love what he's doing out there for us now. We definitely gotta resign him this offseason..

We also had a HUGE game tonight against the Heat. It was yet another test, and we passed with flying colors. Amare put up 34, Nash had 16 assists....chalk it up as a typical game.

I'm REALLY looking forward to that matchup coming up against the Spurs on ESPN. CANT WAIT!

Matrix when is that game? Also i also had doubts when we traded rodney rodgers and tony delk for him and a few other players, but he has really improved his game, and become a pleasant surprise. We need to resign him.

As for the game, i didn't get to watch all of it, but i like the suns idea. Just let the main guys score their points, but shut down the rest of the team, plus its a good idea to run on shaq which we did. amare had a great game pretty much matching shaq stat wise except for rebounds.
