For those of us using the stick, how do you stop button pushers?
It is becoming increasingly similiar to last year's game online that button pushers have a decisive speed advantage? How do you beat button pushers? The Sports Preacher

You can go to the stick-users only lobby. Or use the buttons. Or practice some more with the sticks.Comment

No seriously, even though I do use bottons. I fight a clean fight. I dont go for the infinite hooks combo that everyone seems to do. I had one guy throw 12 straight L/R hooks without even taking a time to breath. He ended up winning due to this.
Only thing I can suggest, is to study which hand he leads with and be ready for the parry.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

No fatigue consequences?
Unfortunately, EA sees people have fun button mashing and not getting tired, so they'll probably leave that aspect untouched.
They need sliders, or at least an arcade and sim mode.Shout out to The Watcher! Where you at bruh?Comment

Re: For those of us using the stick, how do you stop button pushers?
I've played guys, particularly in Standard Unranked bouts, who do nothing but throw punches and they are incredibly easy to beat. I'll crouch low (I use config 3 and I punch with buttons) and block low and these guys will will wail away at my protected body and I'll counter block them all day long. I'll be so patient as to throw one hook at a time if I have to. Having said that this is NOT a button mashing game, unless some onliners have a device to cheat with. The pace and speed of the punches are not fast enough to neutralize a good defense. As I've always said Stick Punching is more hindering then it is intuitive.Comment

Most are easy to beat, its just annoying if anything. But when they pick a super fast guy, like Corrales, its utterly frustrating because they never tire and they throw punches like E. Honda and Street Fighter. Eventually with enough work, they can KO you because you never had an opportunity to land some good punches.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

The buttons are simply quicker than the sticks. I will never use the buttons because I like the feeling of the sticks, but it is a decided disadvantage, button users land hooks with such quickness and ease, it is almost impossible to defend witout taking severe damage. Even with that being said, I still love this game, people will do whatever they have to to gain an unfair advantage. The Sports Preacher
