    Rahman vs Toney.....

    Here is Toney....talking as usual
"I'm a real fighter, Hasim Rahman ain't," said heavyweight contender James Toney today. "I'm going to destroy him. I'm going to knock him out." Toney, who challenges for Rahman's WBC title on March 18 in Atlantic City, also stated that the champion is lacking in the one area that really counts: the heart. Regarding a scuffle he had with Rahman in Cancun last December, Toney said, "He scratched me on my lip like a little b---h. He thinks he's some big bad a--, but he ain't. He's a little p---y." Toney commented that when he enters the ring against Rahman, he is also entering as heavyweight champion. "I'm the IBA champion of the world and I'm the people's champion." In response to claims by Rahman yesterday that he would knock out James or make him quit, Toney said "Tell him to keep his promise. I'll be ready.

I'm definitely watching this fight. I think Rahman is more than capable of a victory here. But I'll be rooting for Toney.

Toney will systematically break him down..If an old washed up Holyfield and ruiz can do it to Rahman so can toney..Rahman is nothing but talk and has always wilted in big fights except for his lucky punch against lewis where he was getting thoroughly whipped swollen eye and all.....

I'm pretty sure it's on regular HBO. I agree Bryan-the division is and has been dead for a long time. They need a superstar, but they're not even close.

I believe its on HBO for free. Thats what the division needs. There are a few guys still fighing at the heavy division, but for some reason they dont fight each other. finally we have Rahman v Toney and Byrd v Klit..

Calvin Brock is an up and comer, and if Sam Peter learns a jab he could be great.

If you want the division cleaned up then the fighters gotta do it.

I think its been said, but a focused Rahman is dangerous. This is still the guy that KOd Lewis. He can be very good, I just question his focus at times. Toney still has the fastest hands in the HW division. Fat yes, but still very skilled.

Nice threadcrap. And for the record, Rahman is far from fat.

It will be interesting fight. Toney will want to keep it close quarters and Rahman, who has a solid jab, should keep the fight at that distance. If Rahman fights like he is supposed to, it will probably not be a very exciting fight as Rahman could easily win on points keep Toney at a distance and avoiding the close quarters combat Toney thrives on. However, Rahman is not the sharpest tool in the shed, that is actually being generous, and he is also notorious for not coming in focused or with the right mindset. Should be interesting to see how it plays out. Toney, however, has never fought a real heavyweight so it should be a good watch.

                            My prediction:
Rahman will disappoint again and Toney will win 116-112.

Bump for everyone. This weekend is a free preview so everyone check out the fight.

This is a great storyline fight. Can Toney handle a heavyweight punch? Is time every going to catch up with? Abuse on his body catch up to him? What Rahman will show up? Is he smart enough to realize he could easily dominate this fight with his jab? Is he dumb enough to fight in close with a close quarter master?

Since Rahman usually blows it or ends up being disappointed, I am going to go with Toney 116-112 UD. Though, it will be awesome to see Toney react to getting hit with his first heavyweight punch.
