Re: Rahman vs Toney.....
Originally posted by thelwig14Wow, my age is getting called into question because I have facts and support at my fingertips. I am in law school, and I have learned never to argue with someone unless you know your case inside and out and you have all the facts. Lennox could have continued no doubt. Would he have won? Probably not, but fighters in a lot worse shape have come back to win in the heavyweight division before. As an undefeated champ, he earned the right to continue. The dvd is volume 4 from Lennox' career.
Also, just because someone disputes or questions a stoppage doesnt mean it wasnt justified. ****, Judah complained about the stoppage in the Tzyzu fight but it was clear that the stoppage was justified.
Finally, Mr. Law Student what you are arguing isnt fact, you are arguing an opinion. You feel that Lewis was the best heavy since Ali and you feel the McCall stoppage was too quick. That doesnt make that fact. Its solely your opinion. Also, finding out that you are a law student REALLY explains why the way you interact and argue with people on this site. Let me guess...you are a first year right?Comment

Re: Rahman vs Toney.....
Originally posted by thelwig14Ummmm, yeah he did. The moment the non english speaking ref waived the fight Lennox immediately put his hands in the air and looked at his corner. He was undefeated, up at 5, and had his gloves below his chin. McCall probably would have beaten him, but Lennox deserved the right and earned the right for the fight to continue. Unless you can put the dvd on, have up both walk through it on the phone, then there is nothing you can say about it. You either did not see it or have not seen the fight in 10 years because you could not argue your case. He was up.Redskins Fan. The 82 Smurfs will never die. 83/88/92 NFL world champions!!

Re: Rahman vs Toney.....
Lewis is a great fighter but will never be ranked as one of the best. This article (from 2001) pretty much sums it up on how I feel. I liked Lewis too and I hope he doesn't mess up and try to fight again. Lewis beat Tyson and Holyfield after their skills had deminished. I'd put him behind Tyson and Holyfield.

Re: Rahman vs Toney.....
Toney throughout the fight got more clean shots. If toney was in better shape he would of won this easy.Comment
