I only said the 10 year old age thing, because you made that silly 10 year old memory comment. You should read what you write before you post.

I should read what I write before I post? Nice deflector. Since the fight was September 24, 1994 and we are now in 2006. Since fights are rarely shown again (and this would not have), your memory is 10 years old if you have seen it or your hearsay is 10 years old.

Am I the only one that finds it funny that Lewis knocked out the Bull's headcoach (at the time)?

In my opinion, it wasnt a quick stoppage. Lennox was out of it and stopping the fight wasnt out of the question. Also, just because Lampley and Merchant have a problem with it doesnt mean that it was a quick stoppage. I remember plenty of boxing writers back then who thought it was a justified stoppage.

Also, just because someone disputes or questions a stoppage doesnt mean it wasnt justified. ****, Judah complained about the stoppage in the Tzyzu fight but it was clear that the stoppage was justified.

Finally, Mr. Law Student what you are arguing isnt fact, you are arguing an opinion. You feel that Lewis was the best heavy since Ali and you feel the McCall stoppage was too quick. That doesnt make that fact. Its solely your opinion. Also, finding out that you are a law student REALLY explains why the way you interact and argue with people on this site. Let me guess...you are a first year right?

Unless you can put the dvd on, have up both walk through it on the phone, then there is nothing you can say about it. You either did not see it or have not seen the fight in 10 years because you could not argue your case. He was up.
Yes, with his eyes glazed & legs looking like jello..But he was still ready to fight right.. First, Gerry Cooney is a great fighter, now this.. You need to stop living in denial..

Lewis is a great fighter but will never be ranked as one of the best. This article (from 2001) pretty much sums it up on how I feel. I liked Lewis too and I hope he doesn't mess up and try to fight again. Lewis beat Tyson and Holyfield after their skills had deminished. I'd put him behind Tyson and Holyfield.

Toney throughout the fight got more clean shots. If toney was in better shape he would of won this easy.
