Yeah, Ray Robinson was practically invincible at 147, and couldn't handle Robinson's combo of power and speed.

Did you miss the part in my prior post where I said, "Not going to happen, though?"

Miranda can't make 160 anymore, so there's no way he could make 147. The dude's normal weight is pushing 190, and he has very little body fat, so he's really trimming muscle even to make 168.

Are you saying Robinson is faster than Floyd?

          Someone agrees with you:

Since dethroning World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Antonio Margarito last July, undefeated Paul Williams (33-0, 24 KOs) has been falling out the

Pure hand speed, No, but I think Sugar Ray was quick enough to counter him to death, and had a distinctive edge in power. He had a 91 fight win streak as a welter-I believe Lamotta was the only one to beat him at that weight.

Cotto, Cintron and Margarito, you crazy. But Williams I could understand where your coming from.

Yeah but you had to land a flush punch on Floyd. Floyd and B-Hope are two fighters in my time that seem to never take a flush shot. They roll punches better than anybody I've seen since I have watched the sport.

SRR had speed, knockout power, could take a punch, had the heart of a lion, and BALLS OF STEEL. He also never lost a remach, and drank a cup of bull's blood the day of a fight.

If him and pbf fought in their prime, I think pbf would get soundly beaten and realize what it takes to be truly special...even if pbf founda way to win the first fight, i would bet parts of my anatomy that he'd lose big time in a remach and probably get ko'd. Just because no one these days has been able to nail him, doesn't mean SRR couldn't.

Don't take my word for it, and go watch some tape and see what I'm talking about.

                    Ray Robinson's greatness:

SRR would have handled PBF. No question in my mind.

This guy says Roy Jones Jr. is faster than Floyd:

In an interview at fightnews.com, Roy Jones Jrs. (51-4, 38 KOs) had this to say about Floyd Mayweather Jr. (39-0, 25 KOs) in reference to their handspeed,

Cintron and Margarito would get killed by PBF. The only people with a shot at beating Floyd is Cotto and Williams.

Lets stop being our favorite fighters promoter and demand he fights the best in the division to prove that he would beat these guys. Stop counting losses, who beat who, and what not. Styles make fights and any of those 4 welterweights would give him hell. The exception maybe Cintron-he is a natural but seems to lack the mental. Instead we get Mayweather vs DeLaHoya 2-give me a break. I love boxing, but we fans who support the countless horrible pay-per-views and endure the crazy ticket prices or lack of deserve better.

                          Vasquez vs Marquez 3-thank you
Pavlick vs Taylor 2-thank you, but should be on HBO, but the undercard looks alright.
Povetkin vs Chambers-thank you Showtime (Battle of young heavy's)

There is more, but I have to go. Peace.

PBF isnt my favorite fighter so I dont know what you are talkinga about. My point is simple. PBF is the Ring champ and the recognized welter champ. The only one of those four that deserves a shot at the belt is Cotto. Who has Cintron beat to deserve a shot? Mattayse? Feliciano? I love Williams but he has 1 win over a top 10 fighter. Does he really deserbe a championship fight? Same goes to Margarito who lost to Williams.

The Cotto fight will happen in 2009 so just be patient.
