I already stated that dude didnt have em all, lol! He's defending this game to the death, lol. Dude, its over. Let the game rest in peace man.

What I'm defending is the truth. People make the game out to be absolutely nothing when that is the furthest from the truth. If it was the other way around I'd be defending FN for the qualities it does have but we seem to have enough lips around FN's ... well let's put it like this FN has more than enough "supporters" around here so it isn't necessary for me to defend it.

I'm giving people a CLEAR view of what the game is about. I'll post definite flaws with the game and let it be known and I'll also post definite strengths about the game and let that be known also. I'm giving people an informed view about the game not just a weak "this game sucks" one line meaningless blurb. There is definitely a real good boxing game there.

There are plenty of games I don't like at all but are still good games but I don't come to message boards with stupid comments like "This game sucks" and mock other participants who happen to like the game.

This game with a few tweaks and a sick career mode would've been something special. and i think u like the game and most of us see it as a failure due to the fact 2k dropped the ball and didn't listen to what we wanted. Its not a terrible game but it doesn't resemble boxing all that much.
Now im a little upset i won't be able to use Pavlik or Calzaghe in FN4. This game was a waste of Calzaghe's likeness. U can't even fight like him in Prizefighter. And the other boxers in the game would've made awesome career mode fodder, in FN4.

If i keep playing this game it'll make me hate boxing games. Its really bad. Fight night round 3 takes a giant poopy on this game. I paid 10 bucks for this game brand new and i want my money back.

FN RD 3 couldn't take a giant "poopy" on atari boxing.
Why waste time playing FN RD 3 on a console when you can play the 3D version of the game.

Funny you say "IF" you keep playing that game it'll make you hate boxing games. FN RD 3 DID make me hate boxing games till Prizefighter saved the day. The best thing I've read about FN RD 4 is they say 3 and 4 are completely different. EA's way of saying "Yeah we screwed up with that one".

I got this from GameFly for like $11 and have really been enjoying it. The collision detection issues are glaring, but since they're essentially equal for user and CPU, it doesn't really hamper my enjoyment of the game. I like that you can jab and dance around for a lot of the rounds and then go in later and demolish them... seemed like Fight Night was always a crazy slugfest from bell to bell. The signature punches and "adrenaline" kind of take away from the realistic elements, but it provides some needed variety beyond the standard jab/straight/hook/uppercut mechanics and accounts for some of the crazy comebacks that you see in boxing where a guy looks dead and then catches the opponent with one shot and changes the fight...

Very satisfied with my meager purchase price, though if I had paid $60 for the game, I probably would have had buyer's remorse. Should be a fun game to have at my house when friends come over and I've been enjoying the career mode matches against the CPU as well. Fun game... FN is clearly the more polished product, but I think this one is more realistic in general (though the way you play plays into that a lot.. this game is more conducive to sim-style boxing IMO).

Your kidding me right fn 3 compared to the sports games that came out at its time was the only one that really lived up to the hype,sorry but i dont think EA thinks they screw up on fn 3 the game one of 360 and ps3 greatest hits collection the game wasn't perfect but overall it was a good game, but yet it good to know the guys at ea still want more out the next installment of fn, prizefighter has some bright spots but overall it just nto that good.

Prizefighter is trash. I'm a pro, but I'm fighting 1:30 rounds? Get outta here. Here, let me spam body punches to the CPU for an easy victory. Hmmm, a well timed left hook should fini- what the hell, it went through the guys face without any effect whatsoever. Why can I only start a career as a heavyweight? Why are the controls so sluggish? Ugh.

I have tried multiple times to give this game a chance. But it's main issue is that it doesn't really feel like boxing, at any level. At least FNR3, with all it's faults, bore a closer semblance to boxing. It's a shame, because Prizefighter attempted to take some steps in the right direction, but stumbled.

It's okay though, once FNR4 drops, people will forget prizefighter even existed.

Fight Night 2004 was better than that trash. Thats why I STILL have FN 2004 to this day. I don't ride a company's strap like it's a life preserver. Whoever got the better game is who i roll with. That's why I'm rocking MLB 09 instead of MLB 2K9 this year. Whoever puts the best game out is the one I'll play. FN3 was NOWHERE near the best boxing to come out.

Oh dude without a doubt your right. Fightnight 3 is without a doubt an arcade boxing title. The thing is take out the haymakers and parry's and it actually resembles boxing, and when im playing it i actually feel like a boxer sticking and moving. and its FUN.

Prizefighter is just painful to watch as evident by the video posted by shadows. Its not boxing dude, watching that video it looks like trash.

I see why u like prizefighter. cuz u can't button mash, u feel like it requires some form of strategy. fine. But there isn't one second of action in prizefighter that you would actually confuse for a real life boxing match. Real boxing is quick, smooth, fast... Prizefighter is not.

Me personally my favorite boxing title is Boxers Road 2 for the PSP. Hopefully FN round 4 can change that for me.

its not the best but at the end of day sim or not its better then prizefighter, prizefighter imo and many is just not polish enough, i would like to see a sequel so someone would actually compete with fn.

Prizefighter aint that good. Rnd3 in my opinion is the better boxing game between the two. FN2004 trumps em both though.
