So is anybody watching Calzaghe/Jones 24/7??

Jones at the top of his game would decisively beat Calzaghe.. IMO. But Jones is not at the top of his game, at least thats what analyst believe.

Calzaghe is an untouchable Super Middleweight who made the jump to Light Heavyweight and took the Ring belt from B-Hop.

I think if this fight was at Super Middleweight it would easily be a decisive victory for Joe. The fact that this fight is at Light heavy makes me question if Joe has the strength to hurt a bigger stronger guy. Which RJJ should be.

I have no clue who to pick in this fight, so many variables. Im a big Joe Calzaghe fan though and would like to see him finally earn the respect he deserves. I believe beating RJJ decisively would cement his legacy.

No, I'm not shelling out the money for this one. A motivated Jones could make the fight interesting, but I doubt it.

According to some boxing sites they are having a hard time selling tickets as well...no suprise with the terrible undercard and the fact that Jones is so past his prime he can't sell a fight anymore...This shouldv'e been on HBO period...

Emmanuel Augustus a terrible undercard? He'll be the highlight of the night.

By far one of the top 3 reasons RJJ was never SUPER HUGE was his total disregard not to play the game with promoters and such. His undercards have been notoriously awful and this one is actually, and sadly, one of his very best.

I might head out somewhere to catch this fight but I'm certainly not going to pay for it.

Still debating on a prediction, but it has been reported JC was 6 pounds overweight 24 hours before weigh in. Not a good sign...

I'll catch it on the interwabs. I predict a slapfight.

                    Should be a good fight...

It all depends on which RJJ shows up tonight...Before Tarver RJJ or after Tarver RJJ? Calzaghe doesn't pack much of a punch to remind RJJ of Tarver so I think RJJ will let his hands go and beat Calzaghe to the punch all night...I'm going with RJJ by decision...

Vinny's Sports Bar used to show big PPV fights. Ten dollars bought you a seat in the bar and a huge food spread, but the new owner is not a huge boxing fan (Vinnie's son-Vinny passed away 5 years ago) and the prices have gone up. With an array of HD TVs in his establishment, it is perfect for big fights, but he claims the price tag is over $2 GRAND.

I think Roy could and should win with the proper gameplan, but I just don't think he will pull it off. The way to own JC is to make him chase you and constantly hit him with hard counterpunching. Kessler and B-Hop both were successful when they made JC chase. Kessler was too green and B-Hop couldn't get his punches off enough. RJJ can do both, and with more power, but I don't think he will do it.

I am going with a boring UD for JC. One thing that will be interesting though is that even though JC is past his prime, it will be the best opponent RJJ has ever faced. Both Hopkins and Toney were way too green when RJJ faced them. So if RJJ can pull this off, I think it will be the best win of his career.

If this turns into a brawl, Joe may pull it off. But I have Roy by SD. Roy can match Joe's hand speed and is crafty enough to make Joe miss and counter. If Hop can catch Joe and drop him, I know Roy can catch Joe (maybe not knock him down).
