PUSH every single time they get close. I just back them off and use sim tactics to win.

But you have to push as soon as they get close to you or you will be doomed. Constant pushing when they come close with good ring movement will almost assure you a win against these fools.

I haven't had one online game where stamina wasn't a factor. I love the game EA but please throw in a STAMINA SLIDER? OK Seymour?

Anyone who say just push, block, run around the ring is an apologist. the stamina is broken and should be fixed. This is a sim gamekiller. If you're playing for arcade style then its okay, but still not fun. Blocking for 5 or 6 straight rounds is not patience. Running and pushing 5 rounds in a row is not sim, arcade, or fun. Don't apolgize for them.

This is what he wants, and does nothing but help him, and further frustrate you.

What you have to do, is bury your disgust (not always easy), and be satisfied with spending most of the 1st 3 or 4 rounds, blocking and circling the ring..with the occasional jab-right sprinkled in.

Make sure you are CIRCLING the ring, and not mearly going backwards. Going backwards constantly is the worst thing you can do.

Fatigue WILL catch up to him.

I fought 4 guys in a row like this, and the following scenario played out each and every time, without fail.

          Here is what will happen:

          1) You will actually gain points in between rounds in your corner, because you would have blocked or avoided the majority of his blows, and what few punches you did throw, would have been more effecient because you were throwing them when your stamina was relatively high, and your connect % was higher.

          2) He'll start baiting you, by wasting haymakers. LEt him throw them..just continue to move and spend 80-90% of your time blocking and dodging, with the occasional counter shot and 1-2 sprinkled in.

          3) Rounds 4-6.

You can now begin the systematic breakdown of these Poons.
--their stamina bar will be either at 3/4 or half at some point during these round, while yours should still be virtually full.

You can gradually start picking up the pace of your attack, and you can start bringing some heat.

Youre fresher, your punches will have more sting. His counters wont, and his blocks will be slower.

Chances are the idiot wont be changing tatics. Why? Because he thinks he's winning. He thinks all of his activity is taking its toll on you, and he has the early rounds in the bag.

Wrong. You have him exactly where you want him. Stay alert with your blocking, and when he wastes his stamina..bring the noise.

There is still the danger of the counter or flash stun punch, so stay on your toes.

          4) Rounds 8-10.

This is where the high comedy begins.

You should be beating him like a rented mule now. His health and stamina bar should be below half, while you should still be relatively fresh.

LOL as he still tries to put combos together as his stamina bar fades within 3 punches..allowing you to walk right through and blast him to death.

He'll be selling all out now, but he's so slow and tired, you can see it coming..so just side step, circle, block, and then unleash.

He'll now start trying to head butt you, trying to get DQ'd rather then get a warm and cozy introduction to the canvas.

After you put him to sleep, or win a dominant decision, you'll then be treated to a message by him, calling you all types of homosexual slurs.

This should work more often then not. Sometimes you will still lose, you may get caught by 1 or 2 stuns too many, the fighter may be faster and stronger then you etc..but id say the majority of the time, you will be fine.
Thank you for this, mostly because it made me laugh, and after 4 fights (1-3), I was pretty pissed off this afternoon. My jabs just don't keep them at a distance. When they start the body shots, I would try and get out but it's like I can't get out by moving, no matter what I do. It's a freakin' cult!

Well said, gbeazy. It just kills me that they (the producers) didn't notice that the amount of punches being thrown is abhorrently unrealistic.

There isn't a more negative poster, especially in regards to EA, than myself.

There is no question that a stamina slider should have been added.

But there are zero gamekillers in this game. Period. End of story. If there is, it is purely in the eye of an inferior player who hasn't played or sees the next move that is requred to take the next step.

sportyguyfl31, you are a godsend. I've been pretty successful online after applying your tactics.

The big thing is really not getting caught up and trying to trade.

Exactly. I still get caught up in it for a few seconds...until I check myself.

You should be at about an 70-80% connect for the first few rounds until he tires. I shoot for about 20/30 for the first few rounds while I dodge, block, and move.

Does OS have a community of online players who could come up with some type of rule regarding stamina until the possible patch comes out? Like agreeing not to use points towards stamina after the 5th round...or not use points for stamina until after the 5th round? I know this will take guys just playing against each other over and over again. But, I would rather play with a group of guys who will play the right way than to play with stick mashers abusing the system.

I usually bob and weave slippin in counter punches eventually they tire and the effects of the counter punches wears the health down then just down work in the later rounds

Just put in two fights. The first I blocked and moved, jabbing and crossing. He quit in round 5. The second I lasted 4 rounds. The guy was getting tired I just could not get out of the body shots to bring it into the 5th.

                        There has been progress...more later.

Just keep getting working on it. I promise you it will click. I was a button guy and the stick has clicked. It is scary how much better I am now with the stick than I was on Monday. Same thing with defense. Keep working on it and you will dominate. Plus, practicing defense on spammers will help when you get a sim guy up.

If having unlimited stamina for at least 4 rounds is not a game killer then I don't know what is. Stamina is vital to boxing. really every sport.
Because one doesn't wanna be a roboblocker(You) to defeat a robopuncher(prob you too) does not make one inferior. The good thing about our disagreement is that we can settle it in the ring, robocop. And you won't have to apologize for your L. Anytime Bevo. lol

First off, thanks for the "how to" :-) I tried to stay out in my last fight. He had his stamina low since round 8 but i didnt manage to get him out. Then round 10 came and I was thinking about going to a decision... But since he threw so much, i was afraid of it...

So I maneuvred him near the corner, gave him a little push, two headbutts, stun, jab, jab, right hook, left uppercut...ko - he got what he deserved imho :-)

His message: cheating (word that rhymes with thick)head

I think I got myself a nice little finishing move here (only for robos, though!!)
