Re: STAMINA issue to be FIXED this SOON

I brought this up awhile ago in one of the buttons vs. TPC topics, but people didnt even pick that up. Everyone was too busy attacking each other to pay attention to what I was saying. the problem wasn't the buttons it was stamina. I said that you could spam punches with te stick as easily as the buttons, but no one was trying to hear me on that.

I don't want to bring up that topic again, its been beaten to death, but it was never the buttons it was the way your stamina didn't go down fast enough

I think it comes down to people playing online vs. offline.

If you've spent alot of time playing offline, stamina really ISN'T an issue.

        But it really, really isn't.

        Like, really.

Sure, you can use that arguement, but watching boxing every friday and ordering major PPVs, fighters get gassed in the ring and the ones with heavier punch outputs are starting to show signs of being gassed by the 6th round or so.

In fact, I box. And while I'm sure my conditioning and strength isn't to their level, I cannot go into a match and throw more than 50 punches around, much less 100-150 like most people online do, because I'll be gassed and out of it by the 4th.

I've seen guys who threw less than 700 punches in a ten round fight and were gassed because they took some body and missed a lot. Is it totally realistic? No. Is it a huge factor in online games? IT REALLY, REALLY, REALLY IS!!

I think that says it all. The CPU just doesn't attack the way a robo-puncher does. In fact, I'd say the stamina for the CPU is just fine. I think the adjustment needs to be that IF you throw a huge amount of punches (hit or miss) you will get tired. That's where I see the problem, because if you hit or miss, it still takes energy to throw a punch.

Yes not a issue offline at all and its actually pretty good if you dont block or throw tons of punches it can go down fairly quick.

There's nothing about it on the EA FN4 forums.

stick mashers aint the problem, people just want realistic fights....

A stick masher is so easy to beat, they only have a couple of moves(jab, body uppercut and hook to the body)

buttons you can throw combos for day....

Listen to the Man! Especially you that cried in FNR3, and are loving the fact buttons aren't in the game now. He's totally right here 100% without a doubt. If stamina was fixed, then button mashing wouldn't be a problem, just like stick mashing wouldn't. Besides, what's the difference between the two anyway? No one seems to be able to answer that one for me.

Another point is, they had 3 years or better to get it right before FNR4 came out! Its just crap that they had all that time, and still have broken stamina. Thank God I didn't buy this game

guess you didnt read my post....

The guys who are complaining about "robo punchers" are the guys who cant stop it.... people want stamina to be effective so that they wont have to run into a lame fight with guys just using this tactic...

Ya, i read ur post, but Im not talking about ur post. whether its buttons mashing or sticks, if stamina was fixed neither would be a problem. Especially if the other guy knew how to play defense.

Eactly lol.. which is dumb. What makes it a boxing sim game is when u try to jab, u throw a hook? I don't think in real life (I could be wrong) the boxer pulls back to throw a right hook, but instead "accidentally" throws a jab to the body does he? NO... So its stupid to me, I dont get how ppl say the sticks are sim cuz of that.
At least with buttons if I hit square I know thats a left jab, and triangle is a right cross. x is left hook, and circle is right hook. If the guy plays defense, meaning block, bobbing his head, moving, ACTUALLY BOX, then buttons do NOT give someone an advantage. Especially if the stamina is fixed. Persnally I play with buttons, and I dont mash on them. If you're good at the game, you can beat anyone.

stick mashing and actually executing the motion is two different things....I have no problem throwing the punches I want, hence why stick mashers are soooo easy to beat this year unlike a buutton masher in previous versions....
