^ Yeah the Glen Johnson knockout was a brutal knockout. Roy was dehydrated and he was KTFO in that fight. That was bad. Tarver landed a good shot that caught a cocky RJJ in a rematch fight after coming down from heavyweight. Another bad knockout, but a surprise knockout. The Danny Green knockout wasn't that bad. Green hit Roy on the back of the head. It was a great punch, but it hit Roy in a spot that would knock down most people. Roy got up and looked okay, then the ref stopped the fight because Roy was just blocking. Roy was trying to get his legs back under him and Green put the pressure on. It was probably a premature stoppage, but I don't think you can blame the ref. Then there was a controversy about illegal hand wraps that Green had. Roy said he was hit with a brick. No way to know if Green really had hardened hand wraps, but that could have played a part. Green is also a good power puncher. Green isn't a bum. He's a tough guy.

How can people not appreciate Roy Jones Jr's performance last weekend?

How can people not see that it was Bernard that was the one that was fouling and cheating and bitching throughout the entire fight?

Roy Jones Jr put on such an incredible performance, showed so much heart at his age, and no one even has one good thing to say about him.

Instead they reward Hopkins's cheating, dirty fighting, blatant low blows. headbutts, rabbit punches. It's sad.

It's easy, nobody here has drank the kool-aid.
Nobody's going to dispute that Hopkins was dirty. But to say Roy put on a great performance is ludicrous.
That entire fight was horrendous. Neither fighter looked good - they both look shot.
Roy Jones from even 5 years ago probably would have dismantled the Hopkins we saw the other night. But he couldn't because his reflexes have taken a severe nose dive.
And his boxing IQ is slipping a lot too. He's unable to assess things as well as he did before and because he has no power or speed, he can't do anything about it.

I'm sure he'll continue to look 'good' against "C" fighters, but the minute he steps in the ring with a true contender or champion he looks like a chump.
He got KTFO by Danny-freakin-Green for crying out loud!

He is a garbage fighter now. If it wasn't for 17 different weight divisions he might be dead. Can you imagine him trying to compete in a LHW division that featured all the fighters from the Super-Six tourney plus Bute??? He'd get murdered!
