Tyson-Holmes doesn't disprove my point. Both Holmes and Foreman took an undefeated, undisputed Holyfield to 12 rounds.
I think Jack Johnson would be champ today just like I think a prime Tyson could knock out almost anyone HW champ before and after him.

LOL-Paul Williams gets Floyd in the Top Five? Fans of Floyd-CALM DOWN-he beat a fighter pushing 40 without his steroids!!!!! TOP 40, maybe!!!
LOL. I don't think I've ever been accused of being a fan of Floyd. I hate the man.
But beating P.W. would be huge in my opinion. At 147, P.W. is a monster due to his skills and size.
It would be a tremendous accomplishment if either he, or Pac, were able to beat him at WW.

You should calm down with the hate. This is the sort of thing (blind hatred) that turns people off of OS. Mosley was a legit welterweight who lost to a better fighter. Just give him credit and move on.

I don't believe in top 10 lists because styles make fights.

Styles make fights, football games, etc. That argument can be used for any sport. I remember when the Houston Rockets were on top with the Dream. Kenny Smith said, had we played Seattle in the playoffs during those runs we would might not have won those titles. Just a thought.

The 'who they fought' argument can be used for 90% of fighters in any given time period. But from a pure win/loss record, margin of victory in his fights, and how he always shows up in every fight....I put him there. In all his fights, there are maybe two that you can argue that were close (Castillo I and De La Hoya). The rest of his fights were pretty much routes. Name 5 other fighters that can say that?

I'm not a fan-you are. Sorry you're turned off-get over it. I said Floyd was a great fighter but I'll challenge anyone who wants to put him in the Top 5 or Top 10 of alltime. I also haven't kept my feelings about Floyd to myself-I'm not a closet *****. I've given him credit-I should crown his a$$ with Top Ten of alltime because you like him?
              Edit: It's like it's a disgrace to be a Top 40 fighter.

There is a thin line between stating your opinion or dislike about a fighter and trolling just to get a reaction from people. Stop assuming that everyone who doesnt have your ridiculous level of hatred for Floyd is a Floyd fan. I'm not a Floyd fan. I cheered for Mosley last saturday (like I have for the past 10 yrs). What I saw (and damn near every boxing writer and fan) was Floyd dominating a legit welterweight who was the 3rd best WW in the world for 10 rounds.

I didnt even say Floyd should be crowned top 10 all time. I dont even have an opinion on that or even care about make believe all time lists. My response was to your ridiculous comment about Mosley.

you can name 39 fighters better than pbf? I don't think so.

                    Re: Floyd top 10 ever?

I think people don't like PBF more because of his style and personality, and oftentimes hold it against him. Everyone brings up Sugar Ray Leonard or Ali.. I mean i'm not saying Floyd was better than those guys, but he def belongs in the discussion. Floyd has never taken any punishment from any fighter EVER!..HOw many fighter can you say that about?

Just because some champions are involved in some epic fights where they go toe to toe doesn't make them better, or mean they have more heart. Why would a fighter get a bad rap for not getting hit?? Hell, I think the 2nd round of the Mosley fight is the worst I've ever seen him get hit, and he comes back and puts on a clinic.

It seems that every fighter has an off night (Tyson v Douglas for example), but PBF has never lost a fight and like someone said earlier, rarely has been challenged. I'm a diehard PacMan fight, but after seeing PBF and Pac's previous fights, I don't see how FLoyd would lose. But id still pay to see it. And I too agree, that Floyd's prime class was lightweight, not WW.

Who's trolling-you think I enjoy getting an overreation like yours? After further review my Mosley comment might have a litttle too much(not ridicolous), but a Top 30 or 40 fighter is a good thing. Over 100 years of boxing, someone tell me what's so bad about #30-#40?

It's bad. Floyd is a product of the boxers that came before him. I wouldn't dare rate him low because then you are taking from the boxers that set up blueprints before him.

I would never say a horse and wagon is better than a modern car because they were good in their era.

I think it was your sole intention to get a reaction like that or worse. Describing the #3 ranked welterweight in the world as a 40 yr old without steroids is a ridiculous comment. Trying to take away from a victory over the #3 welterweight in the world is equally ridiculous.

Also once again, I could care less about where you rank Floyd because I could give a **** about top 10 rankings. My comments were solely in response to your Mosley comments.

I judge the fighter within is era. All boxers build on styles of other boxers. I see some Sweet Pea and Marlon Starling in PBF. How can folks argue top ten when most haven't seen more than 5% of boxers that box.
