Never really payed much attention to the punch sounds until so much fuss was made about it. It sounds like 'whack-a-mole' out there.

Re: Issues in FNC that have to be Addressed
thanks
Best thing to do at this point is be realistic and try to help the devs understand why certain changes will be benefical. I love OS because 90% of the topics and posts about the game have been constructive even when people have expressed their displeasure at how things have turned out so far. I've ventured over to the EA forums a lot recently to get the latest info and it's absolutely disgusting how most of the people over there are ignorant children who spam the boards with personal attacks on the devs and Community Day guys all because the game isn't to their liking.

I think the punch sound needs to be addressed. They need to stop getting their sound effects from Rocky movies and actually watch real boxing broadcastsComment

Re: Issues in FNC that have to be Addressed
I think I found a bug and also a gripe with the clinch mechanic:
1) I fought the CPU Pacquiao 10 times in a row today, in true FNC PacMan fashion he managed to land lucky shots that either dazed, knocked me down or out even in fights I was controlling and fighting smart. I began to really test out the clinch as I needed to try to stay on my feet through all these dazes. Found what seems to be a bug. Sometimes when I clinch with a full or near full stamina bar, as soon as the clinch is initiated my stamina bar automatically drains to empty. Seems to happen more when I whiff a clinch right before I get one to lock on. I just started noticed this after the tuner update but haven't really tested the clinch as extensively as I did today. Previously I've noticed when I or the CPU clinched their stamina bar would shoot immediately back to full, maybe this is some kind of inverse bug?
2) Second is somewhat of a gripe about the ineffectiveness of latching on an actual clinch. For whatever reason it seems like its near impossible to clinch an opponent if you are right up on him. The animation just isn't catching, instead my arms wrap clearly around the opponent and nothing happens. NOTE: I am only referring to times I attempt to clinch when my opponent is not throwing back at me. If I step back to distance where my straight punches are barely in range it seems to significantly increase the chances my clinch is successful. Shouldn't this be the other way around? If I get in close enough to neutralize distance and crowd my opponent I should be able to tie up his arms right? I think maybe this needs to be looked at.

Re: Issues in FNC that have to be Addressed
In FNC it looks like the same system on the surface but theres a problem when the clinch doesnt ever engage in close even off a perfect block counter freeze. Now if you ever get dazed it's a bigger risk to attempt to clinch than to just turtle and hope your block can withstand the punishment for long enough.

Heard the same thing about MMA, Madden, etc. This is the core of their game. Sure the final version will be a lot more polished, but you're likely not going to see any drastic changes to the core mechanics of the game. Now if this is being played on an arcade mode then hopefully stamina plays a bigger factor on the higher levels. If that's the case then that alone will solve the issue of the game being a slug fest.Comment

Re: Issues in FNC that have to be Addressed
Something I just thought of..
Health should deteriorate more with each successive blow. For example, lets say a jab takes away 5% of your health...if you get hit with 2 jabs in a row, the next jab should take away 10%, then the next 15% and so on. A modified hook may take away 20%, then 30% for the next one (15% if it's not modified) and so on...
As for health regeneration...it should regenerate slow at first then speed up, instead of the current way it speeds up at an even pace each time.Comment

Re: Issues in FNC that have to be Addressed
Updated.............My Main Concerns are to Greatly increase Punch Off Settings and Punch Reactions and to have a Option to Completely Turn Off All Counter Windows.
We need to push for these things if we do not want to wait another two years for FNC 2 and a New CRapions Mode that sucked all the resources from FNC Gameplay, Cab, Legacy and ROster.Comment

Re: Issues in FNC that have to be Addressed
That is soo upsetting. When I heard 1 punch KO's are in the game; I imagined finally knocking someone down and them staying down for the full 10 count. It's extremely rare when its a 1 punch dude is sleeping and everyone instantly knows it so the ref doesn't even bother to count, but in this game i think its going to be everytime.Comment

Re: Issues in FNC that have to be Addressed
EA has a horrible track record with presentation. They decide on one or 2 ways a fight can end (if we are lucky) and call it a day. They take all the tension out of their games by ignoring what makes sports so exciting. It's a shame and until they realize that we are left with predictable dull outcomes to each fight.Comment

My #1 issue right now is the straight/jab body spam that severely drains stamina.Comment
