my only qualm is that stunned fighters are still allowed to headbutt/low blow, i ran into this twice this afternoon. usually when a guy attempts this i just run on him to prolong the suffering since hes trying to be a d

i think this game is wonderful

Why they keep that in there is beyond me. It's of no avail though. It's usualluy a sign they are breathing their last breath.

All that mess should be an option between friends but not in ranked games. I really can't stand that mess. Get out of a knockdown with a headbutt or grabbing at nuts. Being that I fight on the outside most of the time there's a 50/50 shot that I can catch that noggin when they try it. I MAKE SURE I give them the full 3 replays movie when they do that. From the hit to the canvas press B rinse repeat.

Just fought two fights with the tuner set. Fought a Tyson type fighter and knocked him out in the 6th. Guy was going for the home run and I just kept tagging that grill slipping. Dude got up 4 times on me though. Gotta give him some props for that. lol. Next fight was against a big time body spammer. That was all he did was go to the body early on. I hate that you can't do anything in close while getting spammed. He'd body spam and then run away , body spam then run away. In the 2nd I decided just to stay on the outside and keep jabbing his mouthpiece. I did it the WHOLE fight. Every other round or so I'd come over with the right or spam some body of my own but it was primarily just jabs to the face which was frustrating him. And of course he couldn't touch me with the body spam. It was text book.

As usual he got frustrated later in the 8th or so when he realized he was losing and his craptacular body spam tactic wasn't going to work so then he tried head hunting. I didn't even bother trying to catch him lovely. I kept at the jab and once in a while mixed the right in there to smack the taste out his mouth. I made an early decision that I was going to let this one go to the cards no matter what as I saw he had NO answer for what I was doing to him.

One area of concern I noticed post patch and tuner update:

Facial Damage is non existent and after several brutal rounds between D. Haye and W. Klitschko neither fighter had any damage, they were perfectly fine.

Anyone else take note of this offline and online?

I can't really say. I'll have to take note of it. I do know the last fight I had I was peppering this guys face with jabs and a few banging straights and I don't recall seeing any cuts or anything. I think he did have some red marks around the eyes but that's all I recall, don't think I saw any cuts at all.

I gave Joe Louis (CPU) a cut under his eye and it had gushing good in my 1st match post patch before I was able to download the tuner...

since then fought 4 fights and nothing but some swelling although I and my human opponent fought more cautiously

i have had damage in on and offline fights

it just seems as though those super early cuts someone would get in the 2nd round or so have been toned down

smart and patient fighters are going to do a lot better in this game now after all these changes

The post patch jab to the head is much more effective against body spammers, or legitimate body attacks.

If you ask me it goes beyond that, the post patch jab turns this into boxing period. If you got a good one you can work it like it should be.

Definitely. There is so much pop and response to it now. I love setting up the jab/straight. It's a simple one two set up that looks so nice when done.

After reflecting on it, I think I liked the game prepatch a little better.

They could have made the original game perfect by just reducing the stamina a little, accuracy a little, and reducing 1 punch KO's by a little, and make it harder to get up on the first and second knockdowns.

Now it just feels like a race to the end. No chance that 1 punch wins the fight. I am seeing alot less damage now too.

Even if I'm judicious in my punching and throw 50 to 60 per round, I am wobbling by the 8th. My opponents come in, gas themselves out by 6, and then I go to work. I like the addition of the stamina drain, but it almsot seems rinse and repeat to me. I'm winning on attrition now. Its the result of strategic boxing and I like that, but my victories pre patch seemed more satisfying for some reason.

Im terrible at this game post patch. Im something like 5-15 online H2H since it dropped, and I was above .500 before it. I guess I was an exploiter and didnt even know it lol

i like the patch though, it's really made the game feel more sim imo. I just have to figure out how to adjust

and btw, Joe Louis is a beast online. People have been picking him a lot and ive been losing to him by KO a lot

I just ended a fight w/ a 1 punch KO Duran (me) vs Paz (CPU) Max your damage, & you'll see a fair amount of cuts & swelling F O R
