Are you prompted to download the tuner update? I have the PS3 version. Thanks.

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
I like it i still think the cpu goes for too many big shots but their stamina gets zapped quick with that style. one think is though a straight or jab unblocked will daze you or cpu. But what I do like though is working the body and head with the punch offsets are cool as hell. Plus it leads to some awesome knockouts. I played a game with Martinez and Pavlik . I kept getting caught throwing too many punches. but in between i was giving him a work out. Out of nowhere we exchange I dip him hit with a right hook to the body left hook to the face dip again dropped him with and uppercut some sweet chin music. it was awesome like the Miz.Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
This is gonna sound crazy, but I feel like the patch has deactivated for me offline (360). I had several fights last night where it felt noticeably different, but now every fight i've had has felt exactly like it used to pre-patch (no punch offsetting, accuracy way back up regardless of sliders, etc). Anyone else experiencing this?THANKS FOR THE TRADE SANDIEGO KEEP RIVERS WE'LL TAKE ELIComment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
I am wondering the same thing..I got the patch when it first came out and loved the fact that accuracy was way down and the game had become more defensive..a day later I download the tuner and all of a sudden its back to cant miss accuracy especially body shots..another thing I have noticed is that there is virtually no damge now..most i have seen so far is some redness and this is with damge and power cranked up on champion..don't know if the tuner affected the patch or what? anyone else noticing this..Right now i would say the only addition I like via the patch and tuner is the stamina regeneration ..it's spot on..Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
Yeah, they brought the accuracy back up with the tuner. Offline I'm still getting about 35% or so.
I get cuts when the fight goes a little ways.Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
It's very difficult to see what changes are in affect for me though. What I mean is after patch/before tuner fights went to the cards but I've had a few fight lately that I've been taking guys out again in the 6th or so. Problem is every fight is different. The guy I was just fighting I didn't fight before. This guy was trying to slug it out Mike Tyson style while I tried to stay out of his power range but keep pressure on him with the jab and straight. Also he was one of the very few I've fought with a realistic boxer. 6 feet with 70" reach. He had a pretty damn good record too. I was able to knock him down 3 times. But with all the fights the only "gripe" I have is how it seems the body blows suck you in and stop you from doing anything, at least for my fighter. I try to stay just an inch outside of that range to try to catch them going for the guts.Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
Yeah accuracey is up but not where it was before. I can tell. Before I could counter like crazy with power straights. Then when the patch dropped I couldn't counter power straight to save my life. Now I can BUT if it's a good shot. I can't get them like crazy but it's not as rare as unicorns either.Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
this is all very confusing with the patch and the tuner....3 questions:
1) What did the patch do for gameplay?
2) What did the tuner do for gameplay?
3) How can we remove the tuner from our systems ?
I know we can remove the patch, can we do the same with the tuner?
thanksLast edited by phillyfan23; 03-31-2011, 12:38 AM.Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
If they fix the damage/cut system, things will be about as good as they'll get on this engine.. Footwork would be my other big gripe, but that can't be fixed with a patch..
Sure do wish everyone was on a level playing field in OWC like in FNR4.. I've been fighting damn near anyone regardless of boxer overall post patch with mixed results.. Basing ratings on time played/money spent pretty much ruined the original premise of OWC; seeing who's the best boxer.. Sadly doubt EA will go back to a level playing field in the next iteration.. I'm sure they've made pretty damn good money off the microtransactions.::Comment
