Doc, it was not a massive step up.

    It was an impressive performance.

I mean this dude has had 7 fights in 7 years and has lost 5 of them.

It was a massive stepup. To argue anything to the contrary is ignorant and a discredit to Wilder and Sergei.

Wilder's best win prior to this was probably Price or Beck who are both not very good.

He just fought a former champ and blitzed like no one else has. Even though Sergei is shot, he is a much better fighter than anyone Wilder has beat and it is not even close.

Impressive performance by Wilder. Even this shot Sergei beats everyone on Wilder's resume easily.

Doc, you're talking crazy. Watch the fight again and tell me you see MASSIVE STEP UP!!! Liakhovich was a walking Everlast Bag. He was scared to death.

Whatever this guy once was he isn't anymore.

It doesn't matter. No one has ever gotten him out within 9 rounds, let alone 1 round.

And Wilder's next opponent would be another stepup most likely.

Sergei, even shot, would easily beat Audley, Price, Beck, etc...

This is like arguing that the sky is blue.

He would not beat Price easily!! He would not beat McCreary easily!!

You can be as arrogant as you want, YOU'RE WRONG!!!!

I REPEAT: I mean this dude has had 7 fights in 7 years and has lost 5 of them.

AND HE HASN'T FOUGHT IN 17 MONTHS!!!

Wilder is definitely worth keeping an eye on. obviously has tremendous power with a long reach to go with it. tonight was a baby step vs an experienced opponent. gotta continue to step up the competition. problem is, alot of contenders might duck him. is the risk greater than the reward?

I agree with you JayBee, impressive win maybe, but Sergei is way past his prime.

Not that he's of the same caliber, but he reminds of a Heavyweight Tommy Hearns, with all the height, reach, and power advantages that HitMan had. He also has good hand speed.

He will be ducked unless the money's right. Not sure his team is promoting him that well.

Sergei was a step up no doubt. Sergei is also shot and should have retired before this fight took place, but he had never been KO'd this fast. Wilder has some scary power, and I hope with his next fight they will find someone who can go some rounds with him to see how his conditioning will hold up.

Lol. Out of your element in the fight game.

Feel free to pm me the last time Sergei was completely annihilated.

Who said Liakhovich couldn't take a punch? So to win an argument you need a steady dose of arrogance and rudeness AND stuff pulled out of thin air? Besides your contention was that it was a "fascinating" fight and to look out for "Sergei's first lead hook to the body". (How'd that work out?) You were saying everyone was underestimating him and LOOK OUT!! You didn't care what anybody said, "LOOK OUT!".

I took the time to look at Liakhovich's last fight, and he was battered and hurt by Jennings. I conceded it was a step up but not the ridiculous "massive step up" that you contended. I said I'd be surprised if it lasted 5 rounds. Well?

By the way Guru, how good was Liakhovich before his "7 year decline"? Who did he beat? Feel free to PM me the list of credible fighters this guy beat. WAIT...I have the list.
                              1. Lamon Brewster

EDIT: I forgot to mention that after the fight was over you even admitted this guy was shot. Not before the fight, AFTER the fight. You're new agenda was to make excuses for him. And then, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, he still could've EASILY defeated the best of Wilder's opponents. lame

With Vitali on the shelf until 2014, I'd love to see mandatory WBC challenger Bermane Stiverne handed the interim belt and then fight Wilder.
