Yeah, earlier in this thread I said Stiverne would KO him, but right now I wouldn't bet any money against Wilder. I'd love to see that match-up though.

On the other hand he's powerful, but remember Michael Grant?

      LOL. All too well.
      Great comparison by the way.

I hope that Wilder succeeds though. I really like this kid and hope he does well.

Wilder rivals Gary Russell Jr. as the most overprotected, overrated fighter American boxer. He's Cris Arreola without body fat.

          I agree he's overprotected.

Do you think he could beat Bermane Stiverne, Helenius, or Tony Thompson for example? If you're saying he's overrated in the sense that he can't compete against Top Ten guys (let's exclude the Klitschko's for the moment) I'd disagree. If you're saying he's overrated in the sense that some are saying he's the next great American heavyweight I'd agree. Physically he has some pretty awesome tools, but his opponents leave a lot to be desired.

Yeah, I couldn't see any. The finishing punch looked to be right on the ear, which is a legal blow.

                  Re: Deontay Wilder

Wilder fights Malik Scott on the undercard of the Danny Garcia-Herrera double light welterweight title fight. On ShoTime, in Puerto Rico.

Neither fight looks competitive, although some think Malik Scott is a big step up. None of Wilder's fight have gone past four, and I'd be surprised if Scott changes that statistic. In any event I don't see him not getting KOed.

                  Anyone predicting an upset?

Guy has crazy power. I still don't know how much of that right caught Scott. This is the first time I'm hearing that he fights the winner of the Bermane Stiverne-Chris Arreola rematch (for vacant WBC title).

I hope we can see Wilder in there with an actual opponent soon. I think he has a ton of promise and could make some noise in the division.

They didn't seem to give Wilder enough credit for that strong lead left-hook that setup his right-hand.
It hit him right on the ear which probably took away his equilibrium.

I really hope Stiverne wins again. A Wilder-Stiverne fight would be fantastic.

Yeah, that left hook on the temple was certainly a legit shot, and Scott has said as much, and he has said it angrily.

"I get hit wit a left hook directly on my temple by a pure puncher [and] now I so-called took another dive. Smh.I still love you insipid b*****!”

Apparently, the right hand might not have been much of a factor.

I am actually looking forward to Bermane Stiverne-Chris Arreola also. Didn't Arreola break his nose very early in that fight? Either matchup with Wilder is going to be a good watch, but my current view on Wilder is that neither can beat him.

wow, see that is an instance where I was actually misled by the commentary. Had I just watch with no voice I would have concluded it was the left hook, but because of Paulie I had tunnel vision looking only for the right. After your comment I went backc and watched again and it's obvious.
