The only legacy he cares about is that 0 for losses.

Other than that, he just wants to get paid.
That exhibition with the kickboxer was just demeaning.

you didn't miss much, Smith looked totally useless in there. Canelo was really loading up on his shots, Smith literally couldn't do ANYTHING

Garcia-Campbell did not disappoint in the least.
Garcia is a star and he showed real heart by coming back from a brutal knockdown.
But I could very easily see him getting stopped at some point in the near future.
He doesn't move his head and he keeps his hands low. His youth and speed allow him to evade most shots, but Campbell tagged him more than once flush on the chin.
Kudo's to him for taking those shots and coming back with his own, though.

The Lightweight division is unreal right now; Lopez, Haney, Tank and Garcia at the top.
(I'd count Lomo in there, but I've heard he's likely moving back down to 130).

Let's hope we see an old fashion faceoff against the four kings of this division.
Tank-Garcia, Lopez-Haney and the winners facing one another.

But we'll likely get a lot more marination and none of these guys will fight each other in 2021 - which would be a shame.

          Follow-up:
I can't believe how many people are saying that Garcia is 'chiny' after getting dropped by Campbell last night.
This is the first time he's ever been down in a boxing ring. And he got dropped by a beautiful straight-left from a southpaw.
And how did he react? He shook it off and IMO, actually won the rest of the round.
Not only that, but he got tagged by a handful of lefts afterwards too and took them well.
Many fighters have been dropped in the history of this sport - it doesn't mean they're 'chiny'.
Having a bad chin means you can't recover from a direct shot; see James Kirkland.

Muhammed Ali was dropped several times in his career and nobody can say he couldn't take a punch.
The only time he was stopped in his entire career was against Holmes and even then, it was his corner that threw in the towel.
He fought through a broken jaw once.

And this is where boxing needs to be reset in how it views things like knockdowns and losses.
If Garcia had lost last night he would have instantly been labeled overrated and some would even suggest he was done.
Was Sugar Ray done when he lost to Duran? Was Lennox Lewis done when he got polaxed by Oliver McCall?
Fighters careers shouldn't be held hostage by one or two losses.
And they certainly shouldn't be derailed by a single flash knockdown.

it was an awesome fight - and the 2nd round knockdown was BRUTAL... the way he landed I thought it might have been over. Almost landed awkwardly with his shoulder and arm behind him under the weight of his body. That was no 'flash' knockdown, it was a big time on the button shot to the chin where the lights went out.
I was very surprised how aggressive he came back and just sort of shook it off.

Campbell had that wierd reaction in the 3rd at the bell where he just sort of turned to face the opposite direction as if to say 'please don't hit me'. He was getting LIT UP. kudos to him too for lasting another 4 rounds before that pin point liver shot.

            Great fight!

I agree Garcia showed heart but at this point him throwing punches with his chin in the air is going to get him brutally knocked out by Lopez or Davis. He literally punches with his head and back straight up. His hand speed an offense has nullified this mistake until
Campbell chin checked him too fighters with comparable hand speed Will time him and hurt him.

This probably belongs in the MMA forums, but I recently subscribed to an IPTV provider and part of my sports package includes Fight Network.
They show quite a bit of Glory Kickboxing and I've been binge watching some of these cards.
I found myself going down that rabbit hole of looking up a fighter, his record, and then clicking on other fighters on their resume.
I've seen so many great fights and cards thus far. It's too bad this isn't more mainstream. Some really exciting action.
I think there's something to say about the 5-round max fights. The fighters go all out more often.
It'd be interesting to see how a championship boxing match might look if it was held to 5 or 7 rounds.

I've been watching old K-1 matches. My fav kickboxer of all-time is Peter Aerts - check out some of his fights - he was wildly exciting 90% of the time because he had great offense and not so much defense. He won K-1 grand prix (when you had to fight 3x in the same night to win) '94, '95 and '98 ... 93-2000 was like the golden age of K-1, other great fighters to watch were Ernesto Hoost, Andy Hug and others. Cro Cop was even in K-1 ... for Aerts, watch his earlier stuff as he kept fighting (and winning) well into his 40s, but he just wasn't the same.

Here is a Taste of the Dutch Lumberjack! Vid is good because you see a bunch of early highlights

                  <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gLYB_IOkbUA" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I bought VHS tapes of his fights in the 90s lol

K-1 did so many cool things - they had the grand prix usually in the tokyo dome housing so many people, but also the ref mic'd up counting was loud so the whole crowd could hear - breaks too and "FIGHT!!!"

Agree, that was a good action fight. It's been a while since we've had a good knock-down, drag-out affair. I think both fighters acquitted themselves nicely, and I wouldn't mind seeing that fight again. Although neither guy has real KO power, they also both have pretty good chins and both guys took some heavy shots without staggering (for the most part). I'm glad Fulton decided to stand in the pocket and slug - could have been a very boring affair had he decided to dance and jab.

I agree I thought Fulton would be to fast for Leo and would stick and move but they both stood in the pocket and displayed some world class infighting countershot skills I can only imagine if one of them would have had some power. But it was a treat watching it. I guess we are stuck with Plant vs Truax this week .

Plus side of the FS1 weekend card: 6 fights! Good, solid evening/night of boxing.

Downside of the FS1 weekend card: was there even 1 decent fight? I was fighting sleep for the vast majority of the card, and other than some odd non-boxing related incidences (weird early stoppage in the Joey Spencer fight), there wasn't much in the way of fireworks.

All in all, I'll take it. Slow sports weekend so the boxing helped.

Also, unrelated note: Paulie Malignanggi isn't on the ShowBox crew any more? That's a bit of a shame; I thought he was (surprisingly) a really good color commentary guy.
