    actually he's 51!

he fought on my last show and won in dramatic fashion knocking out his opponent after getting knocked down in the 3rd. Here is an interview I shot with him before the fight to use during my show:

he is the most articulate heavyweight I've talked to in a while, think of him taking brutal shots from Tyson and Lewis and he is more eloquent than both of them! He's a good story-teller.

On another note I'd like to share another vid I made for the Canadian Diabetes Association for my next show on Aug 29th. Kevin Higson of Hamilton ON looks to become the first Canadian champion with Type 1 diabetes. This is pretty significant because it also means you can't do things like big weight cuts and so on. I'd appreciate any thoughts!

Nicely done on both videos, allBthere. Really good production value look to both.

Surprised that Lemieux is that big a dog (8-1) against Golovkin. That's too much.

I'm not, he did get knocked out by rubio didn't he? Plus his style suits GGG perfectly, the thing that'll make it interesting somewhat is that he actually has power though.

Yeah, but 8-1? He's bigger dog than Ali was against Liston!!

Mares vs Santa Cruz is almost here. Great fight between two guys in their physical primes. Only blemish on Mares record is getting stopped by a guy with quite a few losses. Who does everyone like in this fight?

I just have to like a guy that might throw in excess of 1000 punches in a fight, so I'm going with my man El Terremoto and hoping he breaks CompuBox...

Hmm, i'l lean towards mares in that fight since he's fought better opponents than cruz.

Also speaking of lower weight class fights, i've heard that lomanchenko was calling out rigonduex, i'd love to see that fight.

Needless to say, the onus for making that an interesting fight would be 100% on Lomachenko. I'd have to be convinced, since normally I'm staring at my eyelids 3 rounds into a Rigondeaux fight.

I definitely disagree with that, rigo's boringness is extremely exaggerated by people like jim lampley imo. He's ko'd 10 out of his 15 opponents and his last fight was extremely entertaining,he got knocked down twice but stopped his opponent. It's a damn shame how rigo gets overlooked because people hear he has a "boring" style. I don't see what's so boring about him.

Yup. He's a fantastic boxer that should be more well known. Arum and Lampley have hurt him.

I think HBO execs are more to blame than those two. HBO is still angry after that stinker Rigo had against Donaire. The hyped that fight to the moon and it was a dud.

I agree that Rigo's been perhaps unfairly the target of a lot of potentially misplaced irritation at defensive counter-punching style fighters in the media, but in my opinion - independent of what any media outlet thinks - I find him boring to watch. I'm not on a mission to convince other people of that, and I'm glad he has a lot of supporters because there's no question he's a talented fighter, I just made a flippant comment because most of the fights he's involved in are boring to me, in general he's only fun for me to watch if the other fighter presses the action (hence my comment), and because it's the interwebz.

I actually think Lampley and Kellerman have done a lot to try to pump up Rigo when they announced his fights; they seemed like they were constantly praising his skill and subtly criticizing boxing fans that only wanted to see action fighters. At least, that was my recollection of it.

I agree that a lot of Rigo getting dropped by HBO is due to the Donaire fight and HBO taste-making. Whaddyagonna do, I guess...boxing, amirite?
