You mean Chickenson actually pursued a fight with Kovalez?

Me too, but I'd like to see Beterbiev get a fight or two in with Barrera, Bivol, Gvozdyk, or Badou Jack. Notice I left out Stevenson.
I had read on a site that Stevenson has finally decided he wants to fight Kovalev.
I'm sure he's realized that his stock is basically useless and Krusher is the only big money fight he can get now.

Kovalez just said in very specific terms that he wants to fight Barrera March 3rd at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Kathy Duva promotes both fighters so I'm sure she was in Sergey's ear.

The belt is Stevenson's only leverage. He is probably the fourth- or fifth-best fighter at 175. He's a complete fraud. Nobody outside of Haiti or Montreal cares about him or his career one bit.

        Chickenson. Damn straight.

Kovalez reaffirms his financial viability, at least in terms of non-PPV.

I'm not really pumped up for Cotto's finale this weekend, mostly looking ahead to Lomachenko-Rigondeaux a week later (Dec 9th).

I didn't realize that fight was happening this month. Definitely will check it out. I am not looking forward to the cotto fight too.

Agreed. The Loma-Rigo card is pretty stacked, with Shakur Stevenson and Mikey Conlan also on the bill. Hot night at the fights for ESPN, with hopefully great exposure for the finest sport on Earth.

I did not see the fight but Cotto lost the last four rounds on every scorecard.

Yeah. I saw the last 4 or 5 rounds. Ali really was turning it on in the later rounds. Definitely landed the harder shots.

didn't see the fight but not surprising since cotto has been fading down the stretch in recent bouts.....

I thought it was refreshing to see the judges get it right for a change lol

It's hard to believe, but maybe the New York state commission is less corrupt than the Nevada state commission?
