That, and if they were to fight, no one in the audience would still be awake after round 2...

That being said Manny's fan betting base wouldn't let it get to 3-1.
so with the odds clearly in floyd's favor and manny coming off that brutal knockout, why wouldn't floyd fight him now? he could cash in AND give the fans what they've been waiting for.

Manny is a Top Rank fighter, Floyd hates Bob Arum and Arum hates Floyd. That the reason.

Mayweather is way to smart for this kid, he's gonna out smart and out box this guy easy.

You guys keep talking about power. Judah, Cotto, Hatton, Mosley all had power and you see how they ended up.

Alvarez is naturally bigger and stronger than those guys. Floyd may very well win but you can't just discount Alvarez because Floyd fought some lighter guys who had a little "zest" on their punches.

I think Floyd wins, but he will be in a fight-for more than 4 rounds.

Wouldn't say guys like Hatton and cotto had "little zest" on their punches.

They're both good punchers, but but they are not 154 guys, who grow really big by fight time. There are not even Lucas Matthysse's.

Well he better have Mike Tyson type power cause he's not gonna get to many clean looks against Floyd anyways.

All good points so far in this thread but to me it's real simple. Canelo hasn't fought anyone this skilled in his career to this point. Good young fighter, absolutely but his skill level is not yet up to par with what he will see in the ring. Canelo has to capitalize on his opportunities, but assuming most here are true boxing fans, you know like I do that he won't have too many chances to do much work against Floyd. Easy Money for Money Mayweather.

I havent seen many "boxers" in Floyd's league. Yea, there are some punchers, and brawlers but this is boxing. He works the ring, the crowd, the refs and the judges! His skills were very apparent this last fight. Asides from being more physically gifted you just cant out box this guy, it's nearly impossible! Im a Floyd fan but a boxing fan first and i must say that his skill set is on another echelon.

I am definitely looking forward to this fight without a doubt. I've been a Floyd Fan his whole career because I'm from Michigan and you grow up in Detroit rooting for The Hitman, Lights Out, and The Pretty Boy aka Money May. I know he will win but I feel like he took this fight now which was supposed to be the 3rd or 4th fight in his showtime deal so he could be him before Canelo reaches his potential. Not saying he is scared just think he is smart but it could also be the fact Showtime lost money on the last fight so who knows

Still can't get over the superlatives that Harold Lederman was laying on Alvarez before the Trout fight. I mean you talk about kissing up. Alvarez hasn't earned that sort of talk...........yet.

Yeah, I heard they lost $12 million. That's not great business.

The other rumor going is that ShoTime pressured Floyd to fight Alvarez because of the dismal Guerrero fight losses.
