Boxing is having a solid year. Fact.

Boxing also is nowhere near a part of the American consciousness that it was 30 and 40 years ago. Fact.

I would say boxing had a solid three years. Research the fights we had got. Before Tyson separated from Kevin Rooney and discipline boxing was at it's high. Boxing declined after that. America needs a heavyweight to capture the titles and make noticed. The heavyweights always caught people attention no matter how much noise the smaller weights make.
Boxers are making more money than they ever made in history. Somebody is buying and supporting boxing for so much money to be in it.
