Not sure if one exists, but would anyone be interested in a Google Drive spreadsheet(s) to track fights, records, rankings, etc? I'm working on one now and would gladly share it.

I'm guessing there's an easy way for me to share just a template and then let people duplicate it to their own Drive.

Jeremy posted the universe spreadsheet that is easily as good as it gets. It should be some pages back.

I've seen it, but it doesn't seem to play nice in Drive for those of us who don't use Excel.

Ah. I see your question more clearly now. I thought you were asking if there a sheet, not strictly on google drive.

That sheet does not work well on anything but excel as you said.

I have to say "Thank You" to Jeremy for the spreadsheet. Several years ago I made that sheet...I think it was for UFC 2010 or Undisputed 3...Jeremy has made so many changes to it and has continued to maintain the sheet.

When clicking on his file and seeing my name still there on the FAQ word doc he attached I was pleasantly surprised, but, I have to openly give all credit to Jeremy for the sheet. It's been his baby for awhile now and he should take full ownership of it.

I just picked up UFC 2 today on a whim - it was on sale at Best Buy - and toyed with the idea of running a universe again. I will certainly make use of this sheet when I do.

I appreciate it, but without your original formulas the file wouldn't be what it is today, so I have to give you credit.

Even though I work with Excel every day I'm still somewhat of a noob. I mean, I can do some basic stuff and know this file like the back of my hand, but at this point it's gone as far as it can with my knowledge. My company is finally offering us to take an Excel class if we want and I'm tempted to go to the Advanced class.... However, it would totally just be for coming up with ways to improve this UFC file rather than doing anything with actual work.

I don't know how easy it would be to convert to a google spreadsheet, however you should be able to use Microsoft Onedrive which is basically Excel Online. Here's a link to file 1.3.

Although, I'm not 100% certain, I assume that you can just rename the file (FILE > SAVE AS > RENAME) and make it your own from there. Let me know if it works.

Notes:
- Pettis/Cerrone 2 ended up with Pettis dominating Cerrone once again. With the win Pettis moves closer to a title shot. After the loss Cerrone said that he will likely move to Welterweight full time.
- Ben Henderson and Jake Ellenburger put on an exciting fight with Bendo coming out on the losing side of a split decision. Perhaps Hendo was better suited for LW considering that he losses his size and strength advantage against most WW's. That's something for Cerrone to consider, as well.
- Thomas Almeida*is now 22-0 after his dominating win over fellow prospect Cody Garbrandt. Almeida is very close to getting a title shot, but will have to wait on TJ Dillashaw and potentially Dominick Cruz (if he wins his next fight) before getting his shot.

UFC 5

Notes:
- Eddie Alverez used his boxing to beat up RDA in the first round and then choked him out early in the 2nd Round following a poor takedown attempt. The next LW title contender is unclear with both Nurmagomedov & Pettis*looking impressive recently and Conor McGregor still doesn't have a fight scheduled after his win against Nate.
- Demain Maia had another impressive win this time against Tyron Woodley. Maia now has a 6 fight win streak with the last four of those being against Neil Magny, Gunnar Nelson, Matt Brown and now Woodley. Normally a streak like that would get someone an automatic title shot, but in an ultra competitive WW division Maia is on the outside looking in behind contenders like Rory MacDonald, Robbie Lawler, and potentially GSP.

UFC Fight Night 5

- Fight Night New Orleans was a fun card with all stoppages except for one which was the Fight of the Night. DC had an impressive win over OSP, but with two recent losses to Jon Jones it may be awhile before he gets another shot.

Also, the first announced fight for UFC 11 in Madison Square Garden on 12/31 will be Frankie Edgar against Renan Barao. More details to come later.

I am running a CPU vs CPU Universe and having each belt be vacant and having a Tournament for them all. In the 1st ROund of the Heavyweight Tournament had a HUGE Upset as Pat Barry defeated Allistar Overeem. It was a UD win but Barry had Overeem hurt the whole fight. I like that these Upsets can happen.

Thanks for the spreadsheet. I just picked up the game, not a HUGE UFC fan, but casual enough and think this universe idea is pretty neat.

Couple of questions.

What are the brackets next to the weight class rankings in the ranking tab?
How does your pound for pound rankings work? Is everything done automatically...or do I have to do something with the list of fighters under the rankings in the ranking tab?

I'm thinking I may want to start everyone at 0-0..not taking real life stats into account? If I change everyone's real world record to 0-0 in the first tab..that wont effect any formulas, correct?

The brackets are really just there in case you want to run a tournament. Back during the THQ days me and a buddy of mine used to play online together and use these spreadsheets. We would occasionally do a Pride Tournament and use the brackets for that. Now I rarely use them, but will occasionally do a 4-man torney if there's not a clear cut #1 contender. You don't have to use them if you don't want to though.

I would just ignore P4 P rankings, honestly. All it really does is spread the top fighters out by ranking and it's not really worth the work, imo.

A lot of stuff is automatically updated for the Events History worksheet. However, there's a lot you have to do manually, as well. Ranking is one of the things you have to do manually. I have a Word document somewhere in this thread that has instructions.

If you want to start everyone out at 0-0 just change one fighters and Copy/Paste it in everyone elses old record cells.
