keeping distance and throwing body roundhouse kicks works 4 me most times.
Also try using a straight instead of a jab, as it has more stopping power.

What should I say to help you? Your questions sounds for me a bit like in CS:GO "What can I do to players with wallhacks and aiming bot?" So using a lagswitch in this game is like having a winning cheat. I really doubt, there is anything you can do to them, if they are using their "cheats" correctly.
But when using a lagswitch, usually only the outbound connection is broken down, so that should be traceable by EA in theory. You should report them, anytime you suspect them using it. Best will be to have video footage. If it starts lagging if it goes to the ground/clinch, that cannot be pure randomness....
In the hope of getting them banned, only having a digital copy on that banned account
This has been my dilemma since I decided to jump on the competitive gaming scene.

First game I noticed a lagswitch in action was Fight Night Round 3 online, and I remember back then I was just another naive guy thinking it must be my connection.

The problem with this is that I put so many hours into this game and the last one, including countless of hours learning every tell of the ground and clinch since I got late to the part on EA UFC and never decided to learn the ground as it was pretty easy to avoid it.

So now that I sacrificed so much, that when I lose to a guy like this I get mentally f*** and do not think "Hey relax, they guy had to use a lagswitch to have a chance against you, you gotta be flattered", instead I think "I suck, I'm a failure at this game, I don't know how I can sacrifice so much time from my wife and son to put up with this".

Don't get me wrong I feel I reached my fight night levels with the stand up which was never a reality with the last game and now that I have, I'm left with these desperate lagswitchers who are discouraging me from even clinching or finishing learning some of the aspects I'm missing from my ground game.

So your one of those ppl who abuse this combo over and over all game.

A straight followed by roundhouse to body for hit stuns that send you in a hit stun loop over and over.

I use that combo too, and people use it against me too, it is indeed really effective BUT if the straight hits you you can still block the body kick

Its the only combo ppl are starting to do online now. Which means it's OP if every fight is the same 1-2 cheese hit stun combo.

            Thanks for answering my question.

GPD I posted this before, plz nerf the hit stuns for a roundhouse to the body.

The same combo online over and over. Also it works great on MW Div.

Ohh man. You shouldn't think like that of yourself, when you are one of the top players, and only get beat by lag. Lagswitch or not: When this game lags, its nearly unplayable for a reactive player. I don't even get it. Whats the joy of beating people using some kind of cheats? Shure, cheating may be fun on some Single player games (GTA) but most of the time it sucks every joy out of a game. You cannot even be proud of yourself winning with cheats. So when lagswitchers are nagging you, try to find people to play competitive with (maybe unranked?). If thats not possible, you should consider spending time with your wife and son, or playing another game with less cheeze. (RocketLeauge anyone?)

I think you're reading what you wanna read. Never used the word "combo" in my original post suggesting using body kicks.
I don't spam anything. Try to use fighters like they would fight in real life. I try to abuse the weaknesses of my opponent (felt really bad as I had to do a TD with Bas Rutten to beat a Jones MT spammer in the last round yesterday).
I really think most spammers are easy to beat, because they are predictable. But to be clear: Yes straight, body kick is a powerful combination if landed, but really easy to defend. I have to admit, that the body kick is my best weapon against spammers. But you are welcome to suggest a better tactic against 1-2 body spammers, which was my only intention.

can you jump kick him in the head with a LvL5 head kick and have on that perk that increases your chance of a KO by head kick?

Why won't the game let me block while on my back on the ground? (online)
I was on my back in full guard and my opponent was freely landing punches to my face. I had a decent amount of stamina, was barely hurt (at first), was holding RB but my character just held his hands out in the air. and I couldn't transition of course because punches interrupt transitions.
Now my character isn't highly rated on the ground at all, but I think you should be able to block in any position, no matter what.

There are a lot of times where it doesn't look like you are blocking, but you are. Case in point:

There are several positions were you cannot block. Side control, or Crucifix are 2 of them. In side control you can escape to half guard and punches will not interrupt that transition. I don't like this approach either (protect yourself at all times), but it is what it is. In Crucifix it is just natural that you cannot block, because your arms are blocked. you must either transition quickly, or try to fetch the strike (R stick into direction).
If your opponent is not postured up i.e. in full guard, you cannot block the baby punches either. But baby punches should not (and do not, please correct if I'm wrong) interrupt transitions.
Or do you mean, if your opponent is postured up? Because you can block then. But if he hits you once or twice, there is an animation, where your arms just hang up in the air, not defending anymore. It is kind of a hit stun, but block works still somehow.

I would appreciate a Takedown tutorial. I know some stuff like Sway 3 strikes, TD out of the Clinch seems to work also, but an indeep Strategy would really be appreciate.

Is there a way to block strikes from bottom side control? I know I can defend from side saddle but from regular side control it doesn't seem to work.

Nope. you canot block in SC for some odd reason GPD had. You're also not able to posture up there. Transitions aren't interrupted by strikes in SC, and if I remeber right, you cannot get knocket out beeing in a transition in SC.

But I have a question myself:
If you are on the ground and transitioning, and you see that the other player is reversing you, I can remember there was a way to turn that into a denial. Just can't remember was it was. Would really love to see the "GPD guide to ground game" which was in the old forums.

Is there a way to increase the speed of a submission attempt? I know there's the back constrictor perk, but I'm talking about in general. If you level it up from 1-5 does the speed of applying the submission increase? Never made clear to me is all.
