Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
Brian Ortega
Stats
Striking stamina 87 to 91
Grapple stamina 93 to 95
Endurance 89 to 91
Ortega has gone 5 rounds twice and to the third round in 7 of his 13 fights. Not only that he is always pushing the pace and on the front foot.
Switch stance 82 to 92
He is constantly switching stance during fights
Edit:
He should also have guard specialist perk.Last edited by cal7_11; 02-22-2018, 02:28 PM.Comment

As much as I like Ortega, he's a complete anomaly. He pretty much loses every fight until he finishes. He's outstruck, out controlled and stats over his 8 UFC fights are anything but impressive. Your suggestions for striking stamina and switch stance are overblown. The switch stat has to do with striking power carrying over anyhow, it doesn't prevent from switching. Ortega uses the switch as a mixup and usually pays for it. I haven't seen anything impressive from southpaw. What is impressive is his comeback ability and finishing rate.

The fact that he ‘pretty much loses until he finishes’ is more evidence to the fact that he needs his stamina and endurance increased.
He’s also not a big puncher so the fact he is clearly capable of, and frequently does change stances also justifies an increase from 82.Comment

No, it just means you can't play Ortega like he's John Lineker. This also falls into the category of durability stats.

Re: EA UFC Stat Change Request Discussion Thread
I'm actually ok with how Ortega is rated currently. After the upcoming Edgar fight his ratings will fluctuate one way or another. The more impressive he does against a high profile fighter the bigger the stat changes may be. If you were around during UFC 2's release, Ortega had a major thread of over 100 posts to get him buffed that I lobbied for as well. I just went back and skimmed through. 0hmega was instrumental in the change happening. He posted a gif of Ortega doing the Imanari Roll from an RFA fight... If they add that I wouldn't complain. On topic though, Ortega compared to the rest of the division's stats is good. It's also important to look at actual stats to back up changes. Brian's stats show him to be a very mediocre fighter, but we all know that he's a special talent. Translating that in game is tough.
