Why does flattening someone in Back Mount drain YOUR Stamina
I thought maybe I was dreaming this but I specifically went to Back Mount and flattened the opponent out a few times last night and sure enough my Stamina just evaporated.
This has to be mistake because that's not how it works IRL.ilovejiujitsuTags: None -
Re: Why does flattening someone in Back Mount drain YOUR Stamina
Stamina in these UFC games does not represent real life physical conditioning. Rather stamina acts as a penelty modifier. That's why you can have full stamina but silly **** like arm traps magically drain you 80%.
Best belt for back mount is don't posture. The little baby punches still work as strike interrupts. -

Re: Why does flattening someone in Back Mount drain YOUR Stamina
It's been that way since forever. It takes significant skill to deny somebody and carefully time passes using GA only for them to get one lucky hip bump or arm trap to gas you out.
Think about it. UFC games tell us professional level fighters gas out after 2 or 3 missed kicks. Stamina in the games is the equalizer. In some ways its good, you don't want somebody spamming 20 head kicks. In other ways atrocious.Comment

Re: Why does flattening someone in Back Mount drain YOUR Stamina
We brought in pro fighters for mocap and they said holding that posture *for mocap* was exhausting, let along in a real fight.
That's why it drains stamina.
Because professional fighters said it should.Comment

Re: Why does flattening someone in Back Mount drain YOUR Stamina
Yeah, it's crazy but in EA UFC 2 and 3 the back mount and back mount flat positions are next to useless when in reality they are two of the most dominant positions you can have in MMA
Really wish they would change it.Comment

I have to think it's because hooks are in. (I'm pretty sure they are in back mountComment

Re: Why does flattening someone in Back Mount drain YOUR Stamina
1.) There is no way the stamina drain is reflective of the position itself (not even including strikes from that position which WOULD drain more stamina of course)
2.) Blocked or unblocked strikes from that position would be draining the opponent MUCH more than what is being reflected in the game. Not to mention the flattened out opponent should be suffering from the steady stamina loss.
If the fighters were holding the position for mo-cap for a static minute or two or whatever the process is then sure it's going to put strain on their legs and lower back but it's still not a proper reflection in game.ilovejiujitsuComment
