what's going on.... i am beginning to worry about sales this year. I really hope to see ea ufc4. com'on guys! lets buy the game.
This shouldnt lead you to be concerned about sales. Correct me if I'm wrong but the online numbers for UFC 2 were lower than 20k at release. I could be wrong about that though.

If thats the case, than this game is going to be fine. UFC 2 sold a million plus copies. If UFC 3 stays consistent with that number, it will be more than OK.

I remember well to have seen about ~33k in the very first week of EA UFC 2. I got shocked when a week later the number dropped to around ~15k.

Bear in mind that UFC 2 also launched 10 days after the biggest PPV in UFC history, probably got a pretty big bump in sales from that.

Also what people are forgetting is Conor Mcgregor was in his UFC prime during the good ole days of UFC 2 which probably drove sales up alot.

The marketing budget and promotion doesn't seem to even come close to UFC 2. Despite the flaws, mastering the new striking system is very rewarding with a steep learning curve that will take time. Not just the controls, timing, distance management and logic are all different. Knocking someone out off high risk strikes or poor decision making is fantastic. It's the new hook, despite the knockout animations themselves taking a step backward. From the beta to release I found my enthusiasm flattening out to be dead on arrival, but after time with the game I'm really enjoying it. I live in online quick match, and love using the bottom tier fighters. I appreciate when my opponents pick a comparable stat matchup when I hover over Ross Pearson instead of running to the divisions best like Nate Diaz. Even so, the uphill stat battle online helps you become a better player, but the lower tier fighters are unusable in anything other than 3 round, accelerated clock settings. The lower health stats stacked with lower striking/grappling stats snowball into stamina disadvantage against top tier fighters who are competent players. This year every fighter was supposed to be viable online, but the gap has actually widened from top tier to bottom tier from UFC 2. Last and personally most disappointing is the lack of roster. I expected a jump like UFC 2 had from UFC 1 of almost 200 more fighters. We've actually gone backwards here about 75, but many fighters feel far more unique than the rest of the roster with RPM and just more care individually overall. Thankfully the dev team is listening and supporting the game with patches and fighter updates and roster additions. Tuner updates allow the game to be updated like a "mini patch" and they're fantastic. Movesets and stamina fixes have already been deployed with more to come. Despite the flaws it's a good fun time. I highly recommend picking it up.

No. Ea access is a huge cost saver and this particular release is awful.

That’s my only issue with EA access on xbox. It kills the player base because ppl can try the game and not like it and never go back because they got 10 hours free.

While if your on PS4 you have to buy the game and get better at it because there’s no 10 hour free trail and your not really gunna buy it then just return it and lose $60.

I hear you but the counter to it is the games that are great will always have a player base (bc of the vault). Though I’m not a BF guy, if I ever have an itch there are always rooms for it.

Like others in this thread. I am guilty and told everyone not to buy this game also. Not worth it.
