Re: The Input Lag on the game...

I wouldn't call it input lag, but when you try to fake transitions on the ground there is a delayed hang in the animation that seems to only happen on ps4.

Based on what guys in the discord are saying, its just a ps4 thing. I would fake a trans in full guard bottom and the animation would play through longer as if i held the stick when i literally only flicked it.

A good example of this is the bottom getup transition fake(feet on hips/down on right stick) from bottom full guard. In practice, the fake is quick but in ranked it hangs like crazy at time. Not sure if the devs are aware of this.
    Lineup:
    PG) Gary Payton
    SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
    SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
    PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
    C) Hakeem Olajuwon

The game is just remembering that you pressed that sequence and it starts each strike in the combo as soon as possible after the last one finishes playing. It's buffering all of those inputs.

There's a limit to how fast the combos can come out, otherwise the game would look janky as hell (not to mention be even more spammy than it is now). Plus the time between attacks is the only time someone can land a counterpunch in case a strike is blocked.

I guess I just don't understand what people are complaining about. This isn't tekken, there aren't really blockstrings that don't allow an opponent to escape, and because of that you are going to have openings to get countered in-between strikes.

So you're tell me when I fight McGregor and start a fight and he comes out throwing a mix of jabs, hooks and uppercut, about 8 punches in a row immediately as the round starts, he pressed those buttons 5 seconds before the round even started just so he can get those out??

I don't know how it could be normal for me to hit block and I literally can almost count to 2 before I see it on screen... I've tried 2 Tv's and a monitor.

But I'm using block as an example... Even if I hit jab, it's takes almost 2 seconds.. It just 1 straight, it takes almost 2 seconds... Is this normal?

"Input lag" seems to be a catch all term that probably means something different to different people and can be caused by so many different things.
I get the input lag on the feet and on the ground. What I mean by this is similar to what others have said. Let's say I throw Jab, Straight, Jab. Just three buttons I will constantly see the fighter throw Jab, Straight, Jab...Jab. I'm not pressing the button after the third input. There are many times where Block is not registered at all. I have to keep mashing it as I back away to get it to register or it registers late. Occasionally 1.5 seconds go by and then my Fighter throws a leg kick when I tried to end the combo on a leg kick. It's practically impossible for me to throw a feasible combination offline or online (any mode). I had the same issue with the beta and I figured it was just a beta issue. On the ground I constantly have problems denying transitions when I know and even anticipate the denial. I also have issue where the opponent is making a transition before my HUD even shows the ability to transition and this isn't the swinging transitions but just straight up going to half from side.

I've never had this problem with other games. This is a digital download of the full game and I am wired to the network with 150+ down and 10-15ms. I have tried new batteries in my controller, I've tried with it plugged in and with it wireless and no change at all. I've cleared my cache and network cache on the console and router and even plugged directly into the modem and tested and the same things happened. I can switch from UFC 3 to Madden and go online immediately and never have any issues.

Have to say I have the exact same issue with block not registering at times, and having to let go and press R2 again multiple times. This is offline by the way.

Re: The Input Lag on the game...

I posted this already in a thread that i think noone looked on it.

All three UFC games have i guess the same bad netcode. If i had more money to spend, i would offer the game and make a donation to battlenonsense. Hes a youtuber that really understands a lot and reviews professionaly a lot of games and they netcode. You should definitly check this guy out.
Maybe ill give him my account and for the test so we all have proven results.

Fact is i have a really awesome fiber connection with 1gb/sec upload as download too. I also own the PS4 pro with a faster network card then the vanilla PS4. So like Zommbie sayed it not a benefit for me if im not the host. If i do pingtest to european citys(Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, UK, etc.) i have a serverping around 6-11ms what a pretty good result is. Also a personal meaning is the netcode of this game sucks bad, its worse the UFC 1+2 imo OOORRR i think it must be something with the frames of the game engine. I also get more and more the feeling that the PS4 Pro players are kind of handicaped and here is why:

In 100 fights is the right stick as punch inputs responsivenes 20! times different and thats weird. Then i fought around 200 private matches with friends most of them out of germany. So the disctance to the is preety close.
            What i noticed is this:

If im the host with fast Internet it pretty laggy. If im the blue corner i had so much more fluidness? or how can i call it... Everything war really responsive.
            I played also altair_snake / brazil guys=far away
            I played uk guys=close
            I played russian guys=far away
The experience is always the same. Bad lag, late responsivenes.

Then in ranked i met guys wow you cant belive if i would record my controller and my 1ms monitor or the tv at the same time. I remember one special fight i had aroud 1300ms between the input and the execution. The good thing is i guess my opposite had that too because this guy played ****ty like i did. Its like closing your eyes and giving inputs to the controller without to see whats going on.
I fought guys that came with DC or Khabib with powertakedowns all the way just to slamming me 3-5 rounds down then stand up. I could not block a single one! And those were not doing ducking into TD.

If you have such a play expirience like this its a huge fun-game breaker, its worse then glitch abusers or spammers, trust me! Thats why im atm really not into UFC3. Sure, we will never get dedicated servers because we have right now a playerbase around 10k people.

I dont walk around and blame the ea guys for glitches bugs or op stuff then nothing there is that much op, you really just have to adept and learn how to counter it. But in my case its not possible because of responsiveness.

Can someone record a video of offline play, to demonstrate the input lag? Need to sync a video of the button presses with the game itself.

If people are telling me that the input lag is normal online... But doesn't do it offline then how can it be normal?

I have issues with it at times with blocking but I chalked that up to my TV and the input lag that comes with it and the ps4.
