This is a confusing thread. I can't tell if the OP is complaining that the ground is too good or not.

Sorry man thought you were the guy who made the first time playing ranked thread. What’s your rank if you don’t mind me asking?

Don’t know but I have around 1,400 points. Used to be top 100 in ‘rest of the world’.

The more I listen the more I think that there is a lack of understanding of the ground game.

I prefer grappling over striking and I can tell you that if you are really good on the ground you can nullify the ground game of Khabib and DC. Ferg is especially good at limiting what Khabib does. Here are few things to consider.

            1. If you dont like the ground dont get taken down. The game caters to stand up fighting.
            2. If user skill was the primary determinant then whats the point of having stats at all?
            3. To me the user needs to understand the strengths and weakness of their fighter and their opponents fighter. It is knowing that if you are Connor DONT get taken down and beat up Khabib standing. That is where the skill is.
            4. The ground and standup have to VERY different paces. If you try the standup pace on the ground you are not going to do well.

I don't agree at all. Ratings have to matter. I've played some bad Khabib fighters on the ground, but if they're good ground players AND using a guy like Khabib, I should feel stuck and just have to find a way to survive. It's just that ground game isn't fun in general that's the problem. It doesn't feel good or right. It's a mini game instead of a simulation.
