Hopefully with this health regen bug patched that be a big fix. I still think they need to do something about the block being so weak. Why on the feet can you break somebodies block with a few jabs and a straight... yet on the ground in full mount where you have the most leverage to throw the some of the most devastating strikes in mma, it takes a good like 10-20 punches to totally get through somebodies block and KO them? What sense does that make?
So they're basically saying you do more damage to the block with jabs then you do slamming down hammer fists and punches from full mount? That's a serious issue...
Health regen fix, good, that's going to help a lot as a bug is a bug. But doesn't matter if your block is continuously being broken down so easily on the feet. Yeah yeah "oh just use head movement". Right, okay because I'm neo from the matrix and I can predict and dodge every strike coming at me in a combo? haha. Come on.
Yes I'm getting better with the head movement, blocking the straight and countering, etc, being more patient. But against a serious pressuring fighter, especially a conor mgregor or something, they can still just spam combos and after your block breaks and you get rocked a few times, unless you're head movement is God like, you're going to get KO'ed.
I'm adapting to this new patch, I've won my last 15 or so fights but... I mean I've Ko'ed people with a jab.. literally, they had full stamina, I lunge back, jab and they're done..
There's a problem with this meta and I think those that like this patch or wherever GPD got his 90% of users like the patch stat, was from the average gamer who wants to just pick up a controller and have a slugfest. Of course, they want the game like that because it makes it easier for them. But actual competitive players, the player who want realistic online fights, do not like this patch.
That being said I know the dev's are working really hard and will find a balance eventually. But it's not now. They say they want to work on grappling next... I'd love that but the striking is far from perfect to the point where you can leave it where it is.
