Re: Patch spoilers discussion
I would definitely like both. But if Branch beats Jacre I think most would think it’s cuz Jacre has fallen off not that Branch has elevated. Just saying I want fighters in based on current relevance not rank or past accomplishments. Would you really care if marquardt wasn’t in the game. A big win could boost him and he was a champ in another promotion. Plus the rankings change very quickly and are sometimes are just awful imo. Relevance I think means more. Sam Alvey is ranked higher in than Shogun, but I think most if forced into a decision would rather shogun. Gina Mazany is ranked and Rhousey is understandably not ranked. I know who I would rather have in the game. Alexander Volkanovaki is ranked ahead of Zhabit. I think u see my point.
You cant compare him to Marquardt who lost 4 of his last 5. One big win wouldnt boost him anywhere. It would just keep him from getting cut.
Sam Alvey isnt ranked higher than Shogun and people would want Shogun primarily because of his past wins than what he's done recently.
I'm not even that big of a Branch fan (I find his style boring) but I'm also not cool with top 5 or even 10 fighters not being in the game. Especially top 10ers who have been in the top 10 since the game was released.Comment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
Both are exaggerations. Lesnar is a very accomplished wrestler for sure, even if he ends up losing to DC. Now, even though the difference in skill between Punk and Gall is humongous, "the biggest possible skill gap" would be between GSP and Punk, don't you think?Last edited by Kingslayer04; 08-22-2018, 03:52 PM.Comment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
It might. The majority might love more ragdoll. They also might not think that the ragdoll KO's are "beautiful" as some of them did look a bit ridiculous.
Thats all besides the point though.
No one should ever say "Most of the people here want something" as the sole reason why something should get changed. I've been guilty of it in the past but in reality, OS is a small but passionate part of the community. There are alot of reasons to add more ragdoll but 30 people here wanting it isnt one of them.Comment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
The bug wasn't effecting many people, and was due to a fairly technical and rare mishaps. Once corrupted, the files wouldn't recover properly. It's fixed in the patch, so if you haven't run across it yet, you never will (fingers crossed).Comment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
Damn Brock is already looking deflated in that pic. Homeboy is screwed against DC. Look what happened to him when he was younger and juiced. Old and deflated is not going to go well for him and will surely be his last fight.
The talent gap between DC and Brock is almost the same as the gap between Gall and PunkComment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
What about the Knockouts and Ragdoll poll? That had to have count for something right? I mean I'm still optimistic it's coming either this patch or next because it feels like the KO's have gotten better secretly overall since the last couple patches especially since launch, but just saying the votes were basically a landslide.
Now its possible that if a broader pool of people were polled it would be even more of a landslide but we dont know that. All we know is 72 people from a hardcore sim gaming website are unhappy with the KO system in some way.
There is nothing in the patch related to ragdoll. All of the patch spoilers have been released other than the fighters.Comment

So you're basically correct but his first bout with it was in 2009-2010 and then again at the beginning of 2011.

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
I’m super curious about this new cage sitting position. What type of transitions are available from within this position? Can it be entered from any other positions? What type of functionality will it have within the current grappling system?
The spoilers only refer to it as something you “end up in” as a result of specific scenarios, like knockdowns and whatnot.Xbox GT: the relaxed guyComment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
He actually came down with it when he signed to fight Carwin at UFC 106 in Nov. 2009. But it actually kept him out until he fought Carwin at UFC 116 in July 2010.

Either way, I’m curious to see a healthy Brock compete. I’m also curious how significant a role PEDs play in his ability to compete at an elite professional level. I mean, he’s a former D1 wrestling champ and UFC champ. So he’s got legitimate skills and ability outside his freakish build and athleticism. But again... was it ALL roids?
Something tells me that Brock’s potential is way beyond what we’ve seen from him. We got glimpses of his grappling skills vs Frank Mir 2 and Carwin, which were basically shutouts once he got on top. We saw glimpses of his defensive striking ability vs Hunt. We saw glimpses of his strategic abilities vs Hunt as well.
In theory, shouldn’t he be capable of stopping any of DC’s takedowns, absorbing any of DC’s strikes, and just walking forward? Shouldn’t he be capable of putting DC on his back, and keeping him there? We shall seeXbox GT: the relaxed guyComment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
I never had a problem with the way KO's looked in this game.
So if we get at least two more patches, the one tomorrow included, that means we could get 7-8 (or more) new fighters.
Absolute "must be added" fighters for me are:
Sean O'Malley
Israel Adesanya
David Branch
Thiago Santos
Zabit Magomedsharipov
If we get those fighters I will be happy.
Others who could be added:
Mackenzie Dern
Alex Hernandez
Lando Vanatta
Tai Tuivasa
Antonio Carlos Junior
BROCK LESNARComment
