There's too many people who refer to something they can't stop as spam but they never stop to think, why would someone stop using a technique that is working on you? I'm playing to win the fight. Once I find out what your weakness is I'm going to do my best to exploit it. That happens all the time not just in MMA but in pro sports in general. Also, if you're playing ranked that's just part of the deal, it’s gonna be ruthless. Play Quick Match until you're good enough to stop what you're perceiving as spam.

Figured I'd see what brilliant words the community had before letting you know I don't have a problem stopping them.... I meant keeping the top 100 competitive and skilled, like maybe taking completion % into account, diversity, quality of opponents and such....[emoji849][emoji19]

2. What you are asking about is more about how to get points I ranked. We all have questions about it. I agree matchups matter. The fighter you use and the user you compete against should matter. But that was not what you brought up.
3. Consider dialing it down a notch. Like I said people can be jerks here, but not always. But that was not what was going on before you threw shade. People were responding to your thought, the issue would be you communicated your concern poorlyComment

Re: How do we deal with trash players in ranked...
One of the top 2 guys on Xbox posted a video in twitter of him deleting the game because he and the others at the top believe that this is nothing more than a kickboxing game and that clinch and ground are impossible(for them apparently, I do just fine myself) and that these people making it up that high is absurd...

Re: How do we deal with trash players in ranked...
The point is not stopping them from playing like that, its about keeping the guys at the top actual skilled and competitive players... Not gamers that know how to manipulate the game mechanics...

Re: How do we deal with trash players in ranked...
If it's really spammed, it should be easy to stop (esp any kind of striking spam). I only wish pressure fighters had a little more risk, like a straight should probably be a little stronger if someone keeps coming forward with combos.
But if a leg kick spammer us actually spamming...just low block. If someone is throwing nonstop combos, time your 1-2, if they start doing a bunch of crazy head movement do hook combos and mix in headkicks.

Re: How do we deal with trash players in ranked...
The funny thing is, I've recently started friending the ones that I come across and they are landing like 34% of their strikes, only deny 25 or 30% of takedowns, and have a pretty high dnf... How are these guys in the top 100? I don't care about their record or streaks, they are clearly not skilled...

Re: How do we deal with trash players in ranked...
If they know how to manipulate the game mechanics then I don’t think they are really trash.. Also you said people that stay out of reach are trash? Do you expect people to just stand still and have a slugfest with you?Comment

Re: How do we deal with trash players in ranked...
Q: How can we clear the top 100 of people who don't follow realistic fighting principles but know how to play UFC3?
A: You can't.
At the end of the day it's a game with rigid mechanics that can be exploited. Some players use certain tactics more than others because they excel at them or because the general public has no idea how to deal with it. You can't stop that from happening. That's literally what competition is about.Last edited by DaisukEasy; 09-05-2018, 04:51 AM.Comment

Re: How do we deal with trash players in ranked...
The OP is all over the place. Not sure what their point is ...
1. Deal with spam by countering
2. Yes, scoring in ranked is odd
3. Tip tier guys deleting because it’s a kickboxing game, well yeah, the grappling is off Not sure it’s worth deleting that is personal preference.Comment

I Lol'd when I saw that one.
Like the slip straight/hook/uppercut isn't there to counter people who throw way too many jabs. There's so many things you can do to counter people with the right amount of practice.EA Sports UFC GameChanger

So to sum up this thread in a simple Q & A.

Re: How do we deal with trash players in ranked...
What's the difference between manipulating game mechanics and being a skilled and competitive player? I see this comparison a lot and it's always so ambiguous. A skilled player is good at manipulating the game mechanics in their favor, but a player that manipulates game mechanics to win is still skilled in at least some regard to effectively reproduce the same results in the face of legitimate competition.Comment
