Out of curiosity, what percentage of the fights that you lose do you feel your opponent just got the better of you and it wasn't some EA bull****? Mine is way less than 50%, I know that much. I'd probably put it somewhere around 30%.

I don't mind taking L's at all, that's cool. Just having good fights is the primary goal. I just wish I wasn't left with such a feeling of "GTFOH" after so many of them.

        Speaking of EA Bullsh**

I dominate this dude, and eventually KO him.

These are the stats round by round.

Judge 2 & 3 had it 40-36 in my favor, as they should have.

        Judge 1 had it 38-38

What percentage of your wins are you outplaying your opponent and not EA bull****?

I think the last ten fights I’ve had 8 have been won by sub. It still amazes me how bad people are at the grappling in this game

I want to be able to launch knees to the solar plexus when i'm finishing my opponent against the cage.
                Exactly like this:

I think Jon also did it against Smith this weekend.

I love when a fighter wins a championshipship and everyone flocks to him. I’ve probably played 5 Usman since launch. Now I’m running into him left and right at WW. Same with Cejudo. And of course guys think they can strike with him

Yep, it's wild. When I used to play WW, I would use RDA, Nelson and Usman.

I don't taunt very much unless my opponent deserves it for whatever reason. That said, I was using Garbrandt a few minutes ago and I figured I'd pull out a few dance moves. I was in the zone and teeing off on the dude I was playing, so why not?

The very instant I hit the taunt button I got head kick KO'd into another dimension. The timing couldn't have been any more impeccable. There was no time to put my guard up -- game over. I guess when you use Garbrandt, you do Garbrandt things. I got a good laugh at how I lost that one.

Stephen Thompson’s rear head kick is awesome, when my opponent whiffs a kick or I duck a head kick, landing it clean is devastatingly beautiful

The wrestlers trashed everyone. BJJ guy was the kryptonite but he was finished early by the muay thai dude.

Removed uppercuts from all fighters. Karate and a few others only had straight strikes. Muay thai had leg and body kicks and elbows, judo had no strikes, street fighter was all hooks and overhands, boxer was boxing minus uppercut and overhands.

                          Was a blast!!

Tuned the stats and move levels to make each fighter dangerous in some way and tried to keep the moves varied. By limiting the amount of strikes, it actually made the fighters look and feel much more unique!

I am really disappointed that they seem to have stopped Fighter Updates. I hope I'm wrong and they're just planning a HUGE one with 3 months of stat changes.

That was a good way to keep the game somewhat fresh during UFC 4's development.

I'd literally do it for them for free if it meant we got more tuners, the stat/moveset threads are so damn backlogged.

I believe there would be an incredibly positive outcome from adding Ben Askren to the current roster ASAP. The time is now to capitalize on the “Ben Askren movement”, and market your product to a fresh, new audience.

The UFC has underestimated Askren’s popularity in every way. Since signing him, he’s been the most popular fighter on the roster. He gets the most cheers at the press conferences. His videos get the most hits on YouTube. Websites with his name in the headline get the most clicks and attention. Here’s simply the hot commodity in MMA right now. Everything “Ben Askren” thus far in the UFC has received a resoundingly positive reaction.

It’s a no brainer - adding him to the game would cause a positive reaction, too. There are many people - wrestling fans and Ben Askren fans in particular, would buy the game if he was added. I think it would have a very positive impact and cause a sudden surge in sales and public attention for the game.

I mean think about it. We’ve already maxed out our ability to sell to the casual fanbase. The Fight Night fans got their boxers, the striking fans got their Israel Adasenya. Hell, McGregor was the cover athlete.

The marketing team has just about exhausted their options with their current “target” audience. Everyone who CAN be enticed by the current product, HAS been enticed. There may be some more buyers here and there, but nothing significant.

So the question becomes, how do you create a sudden, significant surge of sales, at this point in the game’s life span? By targeting a new, different audience, in order to expand the consumer base.

How do you market to a new audience, with an old product? By adding something new to the product; something of interest to them.

By adding Ben Askren to the game - you’re reaching out to a previously untapped consumer base. It’s a totally different direction than the established norm of EA’s UFC franchise. You’ve maxed out your selling potential with the current crowd... it’s time to test the waters with a different crowd.

It’s time to offer something of interest to the hardcore grappling/wrestling fanbase, and find out if it’s a lucrative territory. And there’s no better way to test those waters, than by adding a fighter like Ben Askren.

And it’s best to test those waters now, and add Ben Askren to EA UFC 3 while it’s in its later stages. This way, the marketing team can gauge the response of the playerbase in a risk-free manner, and apply that newfound knowledge going forward with UFC 4.

Based upon the resoundingly positive reaction of fans to everything Ben Askren has become involved with in the UFC... adding him to the game would be an excellent idea.

Ben Askren's addition to the UFC has been a breath of fresh air. It's pretty sad that Dana's grudges kept him out of the organization for so long, but it is what it is. I'd absolutely love for them to put him in the game, but I think you might be overvaluing what adding him now would do for UFC 3.

I agree that he's getting very popular, no doubt about it. But how many of those people who are just now getting familiar with Askren are keeping up with patch updates to a video game?

Sure, you'd probably get some people to check out the game that hadn't before, but not in numbers significant enough to be a game changer.

Plus, it's not like we don't already have wrestlers in the game. Not many of them that are sniffing Askren's skill-set, but his inclusion wouldn't be anything dramatically different.

My hope is that UFC 4 makes enough changes to the grappling that it becomes a deep and fun aspect of the game. It's anything but that in UFC 3. Nailing those mechanics would change the entire landscape of how this game is played and could better showcase Askren's talents.

This whole wait and transition fake thing we have going on now isn't going to win anyone over, no matter how much they love Ben. ****, you can even put him and Khabib on the cover to market the new grappling features. It's all good.
