    @fadeawayjay

I think I’m in a similar situation as you, I’m very well versed in all aspects of this game but I can’t put in the kind of time needed to be one of the elite, what’s most important to me is that I’m having fun, what I consider fun changes on a regular basis, sometimes I enjoy quick match using c level fighters, sometimes I like intense high level competition, but what keeps me playing every day with out getting burned out are realistic fights, Smashing unskilled casual players get old quick as does having super intense competitive fights every time, these are the most common situations I find my self in, then getting burned out and playing frustrated is inevitably on its way. For me playing ranked around 1350-1475 points provides me with what I consider to be realistic fun fights and a similar skill gap. I always have a separate account that I purposely keep around those skill points to guarantee I have those type of fights to fall back on when I’m not feeling super competitive and to keep me from getting burned out. I have to dnf to keep it at that point level so I use the separate account so I don’t have to sacrifice the time I spend grinding to rank up. I don’t want to be frustrated with this game so I do what I have to do to insure I’m always having fun

Here is my two cents. The problem is not the learning curve. The problem is a lack of a tutorial. They could have very easily made career mode a bit if a tutorial. There are so many things in this game that are subtle. I will just take a few positions that if you dont k ie the mechanic you might get screwed:

MT clinch - how would one know that if someone fakes the take down you need to reset your block

If a wrestler transitions out of MT clinch to single collar they have an unblockable leg grab

      Side kicks can't be caught?

Clinch cage defense Lol...i remember how to block the double leg, but everything else i have little clue how to block. I guess and get lucky sometimes.

The point is that nowhere dies the game tell you that. There should be in game patch notes to keep up with the changes. You shouldn't have to figure out to go to here or Twitter that is a crazy expectation

Bottom line put patch notes in game and create a robust tutorial. Possibly a better practice mode where you can determine the exact position and the exact move the AI is attempting. Then the game would not have such a steep learning curve there would be higher levels of comp

This is simply not true. When FNC first came out, it actually played similar to this game... sticking to people and throwing was one of the most effective techniques in the game.

They listened to feedback and patched that bullsh*t out. FNC is one of the most balanced sports combat sims ever.

Which, by the way, looks absolutely nothing like real boxing.

Don't take my word for it. You can go online and play right NOW. Take those rose-tinted glasses off and really experience what FNC is online.
Interesting how often you "git good" people on these forums, yet, fail to understand how that applies to you for FNC.

If you utilize defense (block and use head movement) spamming is really ineffective. A spammer will be done by the 6th round (a great spammer) if they are playing a personnel that has half a with defensively.

The same is not true in UFC 3.

LMFAO! You have no idea what you’re talking about and strawmanned the **** outta me.

Try and spam me on UFC3 see what happens to you. I will crush your stamina and/or GNP you into the dirt. That’s if I don’t outright KO you after back swaying your uppercut/hook/elbow. I have never been successfully spammed ever since the end of the ridiculous head bobbing days. This is because of defensive options like head movement and lunging. Because of offensive options like the double leg speed increase and double block damage with forward motion.

Now that we’ve got your complete lack of understanding out of the way, I’ll move on. Did you not read what I said in that EXACT quote you posted? I said the spamming only works unless you’re so good it doesn’t even matter what they do. And EVEN THEN high level players have to mind their P’s and Q’s around sidestep uppercutters and the like. Go watch FightNightsFinest (former number 1) on YouTube. He handles these guys but still has difficulty in the early goings. The same can’t be said about UFC3. I can put a spammer down within half a round. You said a spammer gets put down in the sixth round in FNC (true, just as the example I used shows). Depending on the round count, that’s over HALF the fight. Do you even read what you write?

That’s beside the fact that you completely discredited yourself by failing basic reading comprehension metrics and based your whole counter post around something that I already admitted because you’re emotional. You clearly aren’t arguing with logic. Just “FNC good, UFC bad” in mind.

I don’t, but I can certainly start a Mixer stream and run some quick fights where you are likely to find any number of low level spam tactics. I think Mixer can be viewed online, so if you don’t have an Xbox, you can still watch.

I can try to capture some of these instead of a Mixer stream but it’s not very reliable on Xbox.

Xbox dvr also works. That can be viewed on the website. Just record every round individaully.
