Its a waste of marketing dollars to focus on buyers who are pretty much guaranteed to buy the game. ****, for all the complaining here, I gotta say that I'm crazy disappointed with the number of people here who bitched for 2-3 yrs....and still bought the game day 1.

Those people absolutely justified EA's marketing approach.
I have to disagree with the bolded statement as well.

Some of the people who are really interested bought the game. I'm sure there are many hardcore holdouts not putting out a penny for this **** game.

Now if my company only cares about how much revenue a show is bringing in...thats all I'm going to care about. I could give a **** if thousands of people are complaining about my show or talking about how other shows are better. If millions of people are watching my show and my company is happy...thats all i care about.

It's a seriously depressing world we live in.

I didnt lump you in. I didnt name you at all actually.

I wonder how long you hold out though. Like I said, 20 or 30 bucks is still revenue for EA. I hope you hold out forever given how much time you spend here complaining. That would be better than most of the people here.

I dont know man. My kid cant eat reviews. GPD and Skynet cant pay mortgages simply from the praise a few hundred people on OS give him on this site.

In the end, games have to sell and EA thinks this is the best approach to selling the game. What sucks is it looks like they may be right if this game sells more.

I've said before, I'll wait and see how things get patched, then if a few things get touched on that I am actually interested in, buy it used on the secondary market. Then all my "data" of me ignoring all the goofy nonsense they added will be collected and they will see that no one cares about that garbage. They don't get a penny from me, but they do get to see the data of long term, hardcore players ignoring all these stupid masks and haircuts. Win/win from my perspective.

Count me in when it comes to not buying it. Was 100% prepared to not buy it, but a friend actually gifted me the game. I must say, there are some things I quite like but as a hardcore MMA fan, I'd have been miffed if I paid full price.

I mean, it’s easy to not buy if you were gifted a copy lol.

I know that, lol, but I was mentally prepared to pass on it anyway as launch came closer. I played the beta and wasn't overly impressed. My main issues weren't and almost certainly won't be fixed/addressed so I would've just stuck with Undisputed 3. I still will. I hardly play ranked. Just a few quick fights each day.

Thats unacceptable. I need CAFs created immediately. Get off your *** and create some of these real life CAFs with EA's ****ty CAF system. Thanks. :-)

User ratings tell you how much free time the people you've pissed off with the game have to invest in trying to game the rating system. Nothing else.

I can guarantee you no one at EA or in the UFC is making any decisions based on metacritic user ratings.
I've created a post stating how much I disagree with the direction this series has taken under Geoff. I say this as evidence that I'm not kissing his a$$ or biased towards EA.

                                But he is 100% correct.

This is a business. EA is responsible for providing value to its shareholders. Nothing more.
