Re: More EA Sports UFC 5 Gameplay Today at 5PM ET
Yup. They won’t be getting my money this year, and I am 100% sure they won’t miss it. But I won’t miss these games anymore either. They are not fun. These aren’t sports games. These are mortal kombat games dressed up as a sports game. I’m good.Comment

voicing criticism helps create change. even if it's just a drop in the ocean. just doing my part. i don't expect much from it, but it takes a few minutes out of my day so nothing is lost in my eyes. if you don't like the criticism, you can choose to ignore it. take your own advice, right?Comment

Considering half the people in this thread can barely spell and just hurl insults all day, I'm assuming it's mostly children in here and not much discussions to be had. Ya'll have fun arguing for the next 4 years about nothing lmaoComment

Re: More EA Sports UFC 5 Gameplay Today at 5PM ET
Here is what you said:
"if they all are big MMA fans and this is the game that they've come up with yet again then that is very confusing to me. I would have thought they wouldn't even be satisfied with their own product then."
Your statement infers that if the devs are "Big MMA fans", that they would come up with a better game.
My point is that them being "big MMA fans" can have nothing to do with the kind of game they work on because they dont have much control over the direction of the game.
Take the clinch: They likely all recognize that the clinch isnt an accurate represenation of the real life clinch but the direction the company has taken the game stipulates that they simplify the clinch so that its easier for the people they are trying to buy the game (casual fans).
I hope that this clarifies what I'm saying. If not, I'll just shut up because for some reasons my thought isnt coming through clearly.
You have some of the biggest games in the genre with a proper caf mode, MLB the show, entire story lines from college to the pros based on the guy you create, NBA 2k has literally an entire park created for your player with endless amount of content but for this game we just cant figure it out?
What is it with this game that people love to argue about having less content and less mechanics for the purpose of some metric of casuals who apparently are on the border of being special ed that they dont know how to click 4 buttons on a controller in 2023? Its 2023 folks not 2000, video games have exploded and everyone knows what they are and how to play them, i dont get why this game is being treated like its something unique.
People are out here playing Elden Ring and darksouls games and running around playing onlyup and all sorts of games and no one ever mentions casuals or anything else, but bring up something EA UFC game doesnt have and its instantly "well cuz casuals duh", such a poor excuse for lack of effort and drive.Comment

Re: More EA Sports UFC 5 Gameplay Today at 5PM ET
My issue with some of your posts is that you keep insinuating about the "minority/majority" and what they like and what they dont like based on absolutley nothing. I constantly hear from you and others about how this feature isnt in because of the "majority" or that feature isnt in and its all based on nothing....Like caf creation for example, we cant make our own caf properly and are forced to pick from some garbage archtypes because its not a popular mode? Well is it possible that its not a popular mode because its made poorly? All other video games these days are giving out more freedom of choice, but for some reason with this one its the opposite based on some sort of unproven metric that is not even possible to prove accurately.

Same with the clinch. I mean, yeah there's people who cry about getting held against the cage. So learn how to escape. Why bother putting full mount in the game. No one likes getting stuck there either.Comment

I thought 60fps and a new engine would make the entire game feel more responsive. But 2 people told me the strikes still dont feel that way.
I dont know about groundgame.Comment

Saw people on Reddit say that striking still feels delayed and unresponsive. Would have loved to try it myself but that wont be happening. Anyway I was disappointed to hear that.

Re: EA Sports UFC 5 Gameplay Deep Dive Video with Martial Mind
I don't know what game they're playing, it feels much better to me, and combos flow better AND presentation is much better. Only thing I will say TKO's need work, and ref interactions too. Framerate is a bit janky also but it's a beta for a reason. So far I'm loving it though! Only thing I'm not loving is I have to work today...
So you do feel movement and strikes come out without the delay we all know and hate from the earlier games in the franchise then? The startup of it I mean. I'm sure animations will in fact look more fluid than ever before.Comment

My initial thoughts… (idk what im allowed to say) but the striking feels a lot better. Responsive, fluid, damage is really nice touch. Controls take some getting used to but im enjoying myself a lot so farComment

Interesting. Yeah I can not confirm they actually had access, but their impressions were detailed and seemed honest enough.
