haha, I would do that but unfortunately I'm starting an very intense 3 month certificate course that's 6 days a week 8-9 hour days and it STARTS on the 19th!

I'm going to be 'hunting' if ya know what i mean :wink:

LOL...I dont know if its a good or a bad thing that i will be out of the country from the 14th to the 17th. If I was home, I would be going crazy calling my local mom and pop stores daily trying to get the game early. But there is a chance that one of my stores will have it early (like Friday/Sat) and I'll miss the chance to get the game early.

Like Phobia, I want more time to operate... I always feel like I'm on the verge of getting a submission and then the 3rd ends.

Yea, after you learn the controls you can see how a ground and pound fighter can eat up a ton of time on the ground. I think real 5 min rounds would be much better. It would allow more time for fighters to get tired, that would open up better submission chances, then it would also make people more fearful of a stand up fighter because standing toe to toe with a big striker for 5 mins is a feat. So it would force guys like Rua to go to the ground more often, which will then like mention kill alot of time.

I am hoping this is a option in the main game. Best sports game I have played since APF and NHL09.

Agree about more time opening up submissions... it seems as if you'd be able to pull them off in the first round if someone comes out swinging for the full 5 minutes and gets winded... there's just not enough time for that to really happen right now with the accelerated clock.

I got some more awesome Chuck videos to put up tonight... took them with my camera instead of the capture card -- every time I'd get a nice KO/submissions, I'd record the replay. Two absolutely nasty takedown counter knee KOs that were SO very satisfying... that bastard Rua always going for the takedown on Advanced or higher -- take THAT, sucka!

Once you know the ground game, this game can get quick tactical. It'll be interesting seeing how it works online...

On Advanced I can now control the computer on the ground for the most part with either character.

Just now I managed full mount on Rua (with Liddell) in about 20 seconds. I'd throw a hammer fist, and concentrate on negating any transition attempt by Rua... Then when he finally looked like he was wearing down trying them, I threw 2-3 hammer fists and knocked him the **** out.

It was pretty awesome.

They are present... you see them working on the cuts (it's usually hidden behind their hand until the last 3 seconds or so of the cutscene) and then it's slightly cleaned up for the start of the next round. Not sure what you're talking about. I didn't notice the body bruises, but I thought I saw one at some point in those cutscenes.

The cuts are on-point though, as is the rest of the facial damage... gave Rua a gigantic mouse and a cut under his left eye with Chuck's elbows and it was there throughout the fight for all scenes, getting more disgusting by the minute.

Not sure what's wrong with my demo but I'm telling you there are no cuts or blood anywhere on the face during the cut-scene. If I'm playing with Chuck most of the damage I do to Rua is on his left eye (which is the side they show of him) and there's never a scratch. Then when it shows the ref and both of us getting ready for the next round they're there again.

Edit: BTW I've just now noticed it and I've recently been playing on Expert so I dunno if it glitched or something.

Man I get HYPED playing this game. I just hit Chuck with the ILL combo.

He tried to hit me with the spinning elbow, I backed up and hit him with the front thrust. Leg Kick, left hook. Anticipating retaliation, I immediately went for the shoot: NAILED HIM!

It's so good! Looked so smooth, man.

I just blew Shogun back to Brazil on Expert. We get up from the floor, I send him a high right kick that gets blocked, then he moves in for the take down. As he comes in, I kick up my left knee hitting him square under the chin knocking his mouthguard out and sending him back up where he stands for a split second before dropping back like a falling tree; palms up, jaw dropped, with a look on his face similar to that of a Raider fan on draft day.

I wish I could save this replay. Not even Kane can match my anticipation for the arrival of the 19th of May.
