What difficulty are you on?

Experienced (2nd one). I kind of feel like it's easier to get a submission on a higher difficulty level because Chuck actually tries to change positions on the ground and that wastes his stamina. He mostly laid there on beginner.

Ya, I'm unable to use the quick steps because my analog sticks when I try to flick it, I might have to buy a new DS3 when i pick this game up.

I kind've gave up on dashing with just flicking the stick (I can do it, but not always when I want to) and just started double tapping to do it.

One thing I noticed too is that whenever I am on the ground against Chuck and his bar is either all yellow or very close to all yellow, he can suddenly just get out of anything. He just beasts his way out no matter what you do.

Anyone else having this happen?

EDIT: Now I just had the bar fully yellow and entered into a submission against Chuck. I started tapping X like a mad man and he just tossed me aside like nothing. This is starting to become a joke...

EDIT II: Happened to me twice where he was at full yellow. I have to be doing something wrong, but I just can't figure out what!

I mash across all four face buttons. Maybe that'll help.

I'm now able to submit Chuck pretty regularly with Rua on Advanced. I'll try to do a video tomorrow showing an entire match so you guys can see how the progression works. I've gotten into a routine with him -- get into rubber guard, major transition into mount -- hammerfist alternating with transition blocks, then click RS after a minute of control. I spin the stick and I've submitted him in the first round with pretty much everything but the rear naked choke (which I've only gotten late in the 3rd with Chuck once) and the north-south ones. The triangle choke from rubber guard is a killer, but you've still gotta hold him there for a bit normally.

Does anyone know how to counter into a submission? I know when you're in open guard defense, you click the RS when he punches. But one time, I was Chuck and I had the double hooks and I was about to slam him but he reversed it into a guillotine and I tapped pretty easily. Has this happened to anyone else and and do you know how to do it?

Anyone got some tips on submissions with rua vs lidell. expert difficulty of course but this is the only game part i have dificulty with is mainly submissions, can anyone give some tips on how to get them on expert.?

As Rua, full mount and ground and pound. Hammerfists until he's dazed. Once the screen goes black and white, armbar/tri-choke. I haven't managed to submit without the screen going black and white though.

I tried that and I have put chuck in subs numerous times when screen goes black and white and still get nothing out of it. I don't get it because if I play vs Rua he always get subs after a while. Very frustrating.

Are you rotating your RS? Are you sure you're making the full rotation and not cutting through the circle? If you're doing it properly, you shouldn't hear any clicking when you're rotating.

Yeah I have tried rs and buttons. About the rs, do you just rotate it as fast as you can or slower full movements?

From what I understand, you need to make the full rotation. So try to rotate the full circle as fast as you can.

Ok I just tried for a hr to make chuck submit. Had him rocked and everything and still nothin. I don't get it. Every rotation was full with rs the screen was black and white. I was on expert and was killing him. My meter was green his was yellow and still everytime he got out of it. Man this sucks
