Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
I have some in depth submission questions to ask:
1. Does using the analogue stick or the buttons together help increase your submission completion chances, or should I just use one or the other?
So far, I have used them both, for some reason, I don't trust either alone.
2. If you use the RS for submissions, does it matter which direction you rotate?
I have been very successful on the leg submission. I usually start it off clockwise, then ones I try to pull in the other direction, I switch the rotation. is this the proper thing to do, or am I wasting my time?
3. Trying to exit a submission: should I rotate the RS clockwise always, or rotate it in the direction that looks approriate?
4. and finally. should I button mash wish specific buttons while in a submission?.. for example, I know that A and B are usually kick buttons, so for leg submissions, should I only press those?
Thanks in advance for all your help!fool me once... shame on me.

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
Thank you both. I will do some testing on my own. I have a theory that rotating the stick in the direction that you are pulling the limb is more effective. (Majority of my fights are won by submission) I'm gonna go home and ONLY do clockwise and ONLY do button mashing and see what outcomes I get.fool me once... shame on me.

Yeah, clockwise is the way to go. Even says in the manual that the stick is more effective than buttons. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
Yeah the only time I would use buttons is with someone like Rampage who will straight up slam them out of the submission... otherwise the technical escape is always better since it gives you dominant position (and seems to work more regularly).
To the person asking about standing over your opponent raining punches and/or flying punches on the ground:
You can only actually stand over them if they're in that prone TKO-ready position after being rocked (where they're laying slightly on their side instead of their back). There is also the Open Guard - Full position that wrestlers have where you're standing in their guard and can throw some nasty punches -- use the LB transition from close guard with a wrestler and you'll get that position.
As far as the "flying punches", you just have to step and then throw a punch and you'll do a falling punch and then get into their guard.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
Try to vary it as much as possible -- don't let them damage you much so you win that battle, but focus on gaining advantageous positions, getting takwdoens, going for subs, reversals, throws, etc. You just gotta try to do as many things as you can while not getting beat up.
Also, always go in with 95%+ stamina because it gives you a multiplier. You get additional multipliers as your sparring partner gets better as well.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
I HATE stallers. I lost two matches via decision today where dudes basically pulled guard and held grapple blocks the entire time. I try and counter, but nothing happens. I throw those tiny strikes and nothing happens. They might try for a transition, but they are content with staying in guard the entire time doing nothing.

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
Can anyone explain the clinch to me in attack. I can get the clinch but am unable to keep it. My opponent just pushes me off. How do you keep your opponent in the clinch?
In defence, i've read and understand the best way is to just block and then catch a knee for the takedown. If I just wanted to push out and be standing, how do I do this?
Thanks
I also would like to know if there is a method of keeping someone in the clinch more effectively. I try and practice in exhibition matches against the cpu on advanced. I had Wanderlei Silva (Clinch Grapple Offense 92) and the cpu had Keith Jardine (Clinch Grapple Defense 48.) Jardine would just continuously break out of the clinch pretty soon after I applied it. Is there a command similar to a transition block that I should be using in the clinch? I have been trying head whips and various strikes. Thanks for the help.Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
I know in a body clinch you can hold back on the RS to help block escapes or a guy getting over/unders or double underhooks. And unlike on the ground, where you can hold left or right, in the clinch you must hold back (left if you're on the left, right if you're on the right).
I don't know if it works in the striking clinches also because I have very little experience with those, but it's worth a shot.Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
If you're not good at ground and pound, try it anyway.
If you're really not good at ground and pound, I suppose you can try and strike. Just go all out because you've only got two minutes.
By the way, averaging 30 points on your first partner is pretty solid. If you can keep up that sort of performance against successive partners, you won't end up with some stupid 100 OVR fighter, but you should manage to get into the high 80's/low 90's.Comment
